I contemplated purchasing an audi; after researching, I purchased an Infiniti Q60. The maintenance on Audis was a deterrent for me. If I'm not mistaken, please correct me if I'm wrong, they have to drop the engine in order to get to the areas of maintenance on an audi, that's the reason why the oil change and other items you mentioned are so high, it's really more the labor cost. At least, that's how it use to be several years ago.

WTF at 8k miles your vehicle is new. They def tried to do you. You probably won't need service for at least another 10, 15K miles or something in that range. I know you said you might go somewhere else. But as a luxury car owner and a woman, I think the dealer is the best option for service. Just for the peace of mind. Personally, when I had my Benz I started taking it to garages that "specialized in Mercedes" work. After a few years of doing that, my car just went down the tubes and I ended up getting rid of it. So still take yours to the dealer for service. But, don't let them get over on you.

Oh the car dealerships are all players and want to charge high prices for the simplest service calls. Find yourself a good mechanic and then have him do all of the servicing. It will be a fraction of the cost! Then use the dealiership ONLY when there is a recall. Learn about the car and when you go into these places they will realize that you know the space under the hood. My father taught me and didn't want anyone to take advantage of me....

I can relate to the challenges with the dealership. I have an Infinite and they would do that all the time and I hardly drove my car. I started going somewhere else and its been better. I pay for the service I need and that’s it.

Babe don't go to dealers to get oil changes, you should only go there if when you purchased the vehicle you got some warranty given to you and they will cover that. I'm surprised that with just 8k miles you have to pay for it, definitely look into it better. I used to work in dealers selling cars and they can make up any kind of story for you to pay more!

It’s so hard to find other data analyst on KZbin…😅 I’m a GIS/Data Analyst at my job. I swear it’s so broad that no one data analyst does all the same stuff. Also, I’m not sure if you own or lease your car but get very accustom to your car aka learn how to check your own fuels. My car is 12 years old and I owned it for 10. While I do have trusty mechanics, I also learned my car very well throughout the years. Every month I check my fuels and usually brown or dirty is what you are looking for. 8k doesn’t seem like it’s time for anything to be changed. Also we tend to change our oil more frequently than we need to. Check it and see if it looks tannish brown. Have someone show you or look on KZbin Edit I didn’t realize you had a Audi. Yeaaaa they’re going to get you on the maintenance on a German car😂. It comes with the territory.

@@ericcarson342 My undergrad and grad degrees are in Urban Planning but I did take GIS courses. I think you should take the intro course and depending on what you're trying to do, maybe focus on python. I'm not a coder but ArcPro has sections were you can enter code or do it as a interface. I usually use to interface and if it requires a code, I usually google what I'm trying to do and can find a cheat sheet of codes online or on their site. It all depends on what you're focus is. Mines is more geographic data vs business or tech data.

Sis.. Range Rover does the same thing.. I lease and not even 3 years is up they wanted me to do the whole thing (oil change and fluids ++ ) almost $1k. Every single oil change is expensive, just oil change. Just letting you know they all pull that on their customers.

Great video Syndie!! Yes, the dealership is for sure getting over on you🙅🏾‍♀️. Your vehicle is practically new!! It's not like you were in a little accident or something and have to get some repairs done. I know that Audi is considered a luxury vehicle, but an oil change shouldn't cost that darn much. Also, I thought oil changes are free for so many miles on new vehicles...I could be wrong🤷🏿‍♀️. Maybe it's the car washes that are complimentary. Next time, if you go back to them again, take your boyfriend with you and have him question them on all of the things they're suggesting that you need to have done. Unfortunately, they do try to get over on us as women. Or whether you're with your boyfriend or not, just tell them that you're gonna just do the oil change and that's all for the day. Don't make them force any other services on you that you know you don't need. Again, your car is practically still brand spanking new!! Some people/businesses will try to get over when and where they think they can...smh!

This is my 3rd BMW and i have always paid upwards of 100+ for oil changes. The only time i haven’t is service for the first 100 miles i driven the car. Car washes are complementary but for the amount u pay for service it should be free 😅
