Came across your vid bro. I’m currently trying to turn my factory VSKF into 3 piece. I’m stuck on taking these rusty ahh bolts off. I threw some pb blaster and no luck. Any tips? Also I rounded like 2 of the fastener heads (m7 like yours) what technique did you use to get those rounded ones off? Great vid btw bro. Helped a lot.

You can get some screw extractors and pray they catch the bolt or if all else fails I’d recommend just drilling out the bolt.

oh wow well done, I thought vskf is welded 3-piece, were you able to separate the lip and barrel without damaging both?

Thank you! The vskf do come factory welded from Japan. I bought my vskf second hand which had already been rebuilt previously. & yeah i was able to split and re lip and barrel without damaging anything!

I’d personally take them to a shop. I don’t have any experience with taking apart welded wheels.

Hey bro I bought step lips and barrels should I be okay to change from reverse lips if I do the barrels and lips ?

@@muffinpoopy1665 nah I originally bought the wheels from a local friend ( face, lips, hardware, and barrels,) I’m not sure if companies sell faces by themselves or not. I’d recommend buying the wheels you want and rebuilding or ordering from a reputable wheel company like VR, sensei6, jI0, and have them build you a set to your desired spec.
