It was like listening to myself as you talked about depression and the constant changing meds until you find the right one and how you stopped taking them bc you thought you were ok Until all the depression symptoms come back. That’s so relatable and im so thankful you finally found the one for you. I went through like 4 different ones until I found the one for me 🙏🏾

Thank you for talking about your depression. I have the exact same feelings and it’s nice to hear it from someone else because no one in my life has experienced this.

Wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. in the process of weaning off current rx after 5 years will start new medication next week and nervous about it. You’re an amazing for being transparent. The SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME! At the end of 2019 I was literally thriving on my ssri. I had gained alot of weight though and decided I wanted to start to decrease my dose. My doctor agreed with me and so I did. The first decrease went great. The second was a little harder but I was still able to do everything I had been. Then February of 2020 I did my third decrease, and it immediately went bad. Within about a week or two I was having pretty bad withdrawals and then Covid hit, and I stopped leaving the house because of bad panic attacks and the fear of catching Covid. It kept getting worse until the end of July when I had one of the worst panic attacks on one of the hottest days that summer in the middle of driving on the highway. It was terrifying and I was hysterical. After that I went into a full-blown mental breakdown for about 2 weeks. I had dp/dr, suicidal ideation, panic attacks constantly, 24/7 anxiety that stopped me from being able to eat and I was crying all day long, every single day. I lost 10 lbs because I was consuming maybe 400 cals a day and that was from forcing myself to eat so I could take my meds or else I felt nauseous. I have been struggling for the past 2 years because I feel like all the progress I've made has been completely erased and I'm starting from scratch. I went back up to my original dose of my ssri around May of this year and I am feeling better, but not back to where I was. It's literally one of the worst experiences of my life, if not the worst. I would never wish that on anyone. I'm happy things got better for you and I'm hoping I continue getting better as well and can get my life back ❤❤

So a similar thing happened to me. I was feeling great- so I thought “let’s get off this antidepressant” with my doctor’s help. While weaning off I have NEVER BEEN SO DEPRESSED. It was awful. So I just accepted that I should stay on it.

Sometimes staying on it is better. Not everyone can produce those happy chemicals naturally and I guess we’re those people. 😅 Glad you are taking care of yourself!❤

@@courtney7881 i don’t take anti depressants but he’s speaking facts lets say someone is suicidal so they want to get anti depressents then the doctor says the side effect is feeling suicidal lol that does not make no sense at all but if it helps then it helps i guess but ive never been depressed but if i have low moments i just listen to music or appriciate the small things that i have in life and im happy have a good day goodbye
