@Ryan - V1 Engineering Inc your CNC machines are great, and I can honestly say its taken our shop over the top. We will be Grabbing the LR3 next month and repurposing the LR2. Two quick questions, I see you are using old school clamping techniques, have you ever tried the polymer brad nails by raptor? Finally, which control board are you using in that setup? We have the mini Rambo on the LR2 and want the best board for the LR3. Thanks in advance and also, thanks for coming up with such a great machine to allow folks to get into CNC work. Peace.

Glad you are enjoying the build! The composite nailers look cool, but screws are cheap and I don't need to turn on the compressor. I am using a SKR Pro on this build, best to have a 5 driver board, but you can get away with the mini if you give up some endstops.

My Makita wasn't mounted correctly either, I had to open up router and cut epdm cable protecting shroud to half the length, that allowed me to orientate router the same way as Ryan, and still allow for the router cable to not hit the YZ plates at min X.
@allted
@allted Жыл бұрын
@@AzaB2C I left mine on there for a while, it just cleared the core. I took it off though to get a tighter bend. I slid it down the cord to the plug, then later cut it off because I wanted to stuff it in the beam later.

What size is your table, I'm currently building my LR3 and can't decide on table size, yours looks like a good size. Any regrets with that one?
@allted
@allted Жыл бұрын
It comfortably fits a 2'x4' piece of material. I rarely use more than 2' in either direction on a single project, but batch work the whole table. It really depends on what you might make. I use it for batch work so I use the entire surface as shown in the thumbnail, but a full sheet is not worth it to me, as I don't have the space to spare.

What VAC can you recommend for the LowRider V3?
@allted
@allted Жыл бұрын
amzn.to/40Ycax8 I just got that one, highly recommended. It is much less loud than my last one, yet has more power. I think it might need a small printed adapter if you wanted to try and use the included hose, but I think it is best to get an extension anyway, and you can get that the exact size as the vac port on the LR3.
