I have a similar experience with a watercolour book by Hazel Soan, who is a modern watercolourist. I checked out her book from the library and learned so much from it but when I searched online, it was only available on Amazon for over AUD300! The good thing is I found half a dozen of her other books (which look like they are fragments of that particular book), and could use these for inspiration and knowledge instead. Her book actually sparked in me a desire to learn more about the watercolours and pigments that I have. I love your renditions of the floral paintings btw.

Yes!! And I haven't really considered studying the masters until I found this book. Another one that is gd is called impressionist flowers which I bought in the end. Has pretty gd floral paintings too!
