definitely something that I've come to realise recently in terms of my trying to move towards more 'serious' art - yes, it's about play and not overthinking, etc... but also, if I want particular marks or if I know that I have x, y, z in my tool box of 'things I know I like the look of', then there might actually need to be some sort of planning too on a certain level. That it's crafting the mixture of the two and finding the balance where the 'magic' happens. Thank you for this excellent titbit of advice
