It is sooo interesting to me that it's the same everywhere. It's like that in my country too even about which council you're registered with. Like, there's room for all of us. Everyone serves a purpose. You can't help everything, neither can I so the more the merrier. The more of us out there the better for the people, what is this competition about? It's competition in my country very bad for clients because some clients are confused by it.

I completely agree! We should all be collaborating, not competing with one another.

Which plan did you select for Reimbursify? Also, I'm curious, how are you marketing your clients? I started in February. I may consider adding Reimbursify. Have you noticed this made a difference?

Hi! I use the free plan for Reimbursify. My clients decide if they want to use that service and if they want to by their packages for a cheaper rate. It has really helped with the clients who want to use their insurance, but still want to see me. It's made the process much easier! I usually market by networking, SEO, and in local FB therapist groups.

Can you do a video if one has a single office and no reception. What advice would you give regarding taking in new clients? Is it awkward to have them come in a couple of minutes earlier for the paper work and be in the same office as them while they fill in the paper work and make coffee if you serve it - to be noted some of the clients are illiterate and might need help filling in the paperwork even if you had a reception they would need help is it awkward to be the one assisting for those who need it?

I think it's best (for you and the client) to make sure they have the paperwork ahead of time if possible! There's usually a lot of forms and information they need time to take it all in. Plus, you can review it before you see them and get a better idea of what they need out of therapy. If you can't send it to them, or if there are issues with literacy or technology, it's usually best practice to have clients come in at least 30 minutes before their start time to complete the paperwork. Most doctors and dentists do that! If at the start time of the session, they're still working on the paperwork or need assistance with it, then you can work on it together during the actual intake session. It's fine to have them do it with you during the appointment as a last resort.
