Anastasia and Titan A.E. are Don Bluth’s last two films (made with Fox) and I loved them. Anastasia is an imitation Disney Princess movie but it honestly stands tall with the best of the actual Disney Princess films. Titan A.E. is a great underrated film that was unlike anything of Bluth’s other films but that’s why I loved it. The soundtrack has this ‘90s/early-2000s grunge/numetal style that is just great. And the darker, more serious tone was basically the more mature tone of the ‘80s to early-2000s Renaissance Era just evolving. I still wonder how different the landscape of animated films would be if films like Shrek and Shark Tale bombed while films like Titan A.E. and Treasure Planet were massive hits.
