I loved my 89 fj1200 3cv, midnight blue and gold. I put an fzr 1000 exup rear wheel on it and progressive front fork springs, that made it handle sooooo much better. I also fitted Dyna ignition coils, iridium spark plugs and a K&N standard air filter, on pressing the start button the starter motor would just make a hic sound and the engine would instantly fire up, every time. Great to see your vid, brought back some memories. 👍❤️🇬🇧

Is it true that the main jets wear out? I've read somewhere that when it has run over 100.000 km's, replacing the main jets helps to reduce the fuel consumtion a bit..

Where do you buy parts and rebuild kits for these I have an 86 fj1200
@Suffolk_Jason3 ай бұрын
Any place that sells parts for Legends cars, they ran this engine for 20 years and you can find all kinds of cool stuff for them. Amazingly tough motors! Super cheap to get running strong, look in that direction

Buy a carb sync tool and start there, worth their weight in gold if you want smooth performance and the best power. Easy to use, the vacuum ports are already there to do it

Hey from Netherlands as welk here,and i also have An fj hope IT all worked and that its more economic niet,how did you sync the carb
@teachingrtechnics80512 жыл бұрын

@hyperqx2 жыл бұрын
@@teachingrtechnics8051 zal wel mooi zijn dat je daar een video van maakt.
@teachingrtechnics80512 жыл бұрын

drop the needle sdown to lean it out some ..may have unburned fuel issue too...can hot wire the coils for that..really helped mine!
@mrjoe9308 Жыл бұрын
Why putting bigger main jets if you are already too rich ?? And if your plugs are not the same color you should sync the carbs and work with the fuel mixture screws to have all the fourth the same color .And only after that you could try different needle settings for the air filter . With stock exhaust absolutely no need to put bigger main jets .

Good video shame, you didn't talk all the way through, though.
