Thanks. This was the main idea - to check how the drum from paper would sound like. I also was quite surprised, because the sound is similar to the sound of real drum. Some low-pitched, low quality, but real drum )

I'm very curious about the screws and nut. Especially the nut. How did you manage to keep the pitch when you inserted the coil of thread into its cylinder? Did you harden them with superglue prior to inserting them? Thanks

As for the hardening - yes, all layers of the coil are enforced with superglue, but the coil is not inserting into cylinder. Have a look at frame at 0:54 - the coil (which has thickness of 4 layers of paper) is placed on some kind of mandrel, which has a thread with correct pitch, but with thickness of only 1 layer of paper. Then necessary part of coil is cut, and that part is covered with a strip of paper with glue. And if everything is ok (if the glue does not get on the mandrel) nut is ready and can be unscrewed from mandrel.

Hi, I have a problem with my engine model. This is a larger version of the small single cylinder engine, bore 18mm stroke 14mm. It is modified: The crankshaft is removable (the connecting rod can be removed without damaging it) The crankshaft is mounted on mini ball bearings, the connecting rod has the same bearing. The head is modified: the valve seat is sealed with a rubber o-ring. The cylinder is covered with cyanoacrylate glue and polished with sandpaper to a flash, the piston is also made (to increase resistance to water from the mouth) I have 3 types of flywheels: heavy, medium and light. This engine ran great had a beautiful sound. He had high revs and could also run low revs. I changed the piston for even higher revs and suddenly the engine stopped working. Later the valve in the head was damaged. I repaired the heads and the engine still runs poorly. It works poorly on a heavy flywheel and does not work on a medium and light one. The piston is now tighter in the cylinder but still works slightly in it. What could be causing this? The head appears to be tight. I changed the cylinder to a larger one and the piston stayed the same, which made the fit loose and the engine started to work but now it uses a lot of air and has no power

It is hard to "diagnose" remotely any issues even with the models made according to templates, and looks like your one have quite a bit of modifications, so I'm afraid I can't advice anything specific here

Because I currently changed the piston and cylinder to 20mm and the engine runs very well at low revs and high revs with a heavy flywheel. But on a light wheel it only goes at low revs, and when I increase the pressure (by mouth) the engine stops.

I guess your issue is not because of the lack of spring, because if the model is working at low revs, it means that valve is closed successfully even with low pressure, so the higher pressure will close it as well.
