Doug and I had the opportunity to fly out to Florida last summer (August of 2023) to assist ‪@ReconDiveRecovery‬‪@HeloAndSub‬ and ‪@Sunshinestatesonar‬ in a search for vehicles underwater connected to cold cases in the Miami, Florida Area.

Josh & Doug I am so proud of you two for keeping your heads held high during such difficult times, not saying a word and just keeping going forward. So many of us know how hard emotionally and financially it has been for you both and your families. From the moment I started watching videos about sonar search & recovery it made sense for me. I was a 911 dispatcher for 24 years, and unless someone saw a vehicle sink, or crash through the ice waterways were never checked for a missing person underwater. I worked for the department that caught & apprehended John Gacy, and he was dumping bodies in the Des Plaines river in the seventies. Bodies aren’t detectable by sonar as far as I know, but I would’ve thought it would clue in law enforcement. Perhaps they used to drag a river, or lake after receiving a tip to do so. So many missing people are right under our noses, but we need to actually search. Thank you for everything all of you do to help. You’re amazing, and I’m proud to follow such good people / work!
