I’m a corporate mama! I was a SAHM for a few years until my kiddos were all in school. There are pros and cons of both worlds but as of now I’m sooo content with leaving the house and having something that is for ME and blessed to have been at home with my kiddos for as long as I did ❤

I’m a stay at home and have been for almost 14 years. It’s a true blessing, but isn’t one size fits all. Whatever is best for each individual family .

I worked the first year and I always had “mom guilt” I was a nurse and it didn’t feel right so I switched to being a full time mom because nothing was more important to me. I meet up with other moms we had so much fun doing activities and outings with the kids. When she turned 3 she started in a Montessori school twice a week and we continue activities. Then when she started school I went back part time. Then when she was about to start 2nd grade I decided to homeschool. She’ll be starting 6th grade next year and will be going back to school. I’m so happy I prioritize motherhood and I don’t regret it. No depression. I had a great community and most importantly I spent so much valuable time with my daughter I watched her learning evolve right in front of my eyes and I learnt so much from her and from the process and it has been a blessing. I’m very grateful. Of course there were bad days and ups and downs but what doesn’t have that? It’s life.

Currently a hybrid-started my own business 3 years ago, working from home and am now trying to balance Mom life, so hard! Especially with no family near. I was stretching myself too thin, so now I have been taking a break (have been lucky to be able to do that). Mom life is definitely hard but so rewarding and worth it!

I’ve been a stay at home mom for 20 years to my 3 daughters and it’s been the most edifying thing i’ve ever done. It’s also the thing i’m most proud of that i’ve been able to be here for them through all of life’s ups and downs. My daughters have needed me more than ever through their teens than they ever did when they were younger. When they were little they needed me more physically but as teens, they’ve needed me mentally and emotionally. My mom worked full time and i remember as a kid just wanting so badly to be with my mom more so I’m happy that i’ve been able to provide that for my daughters.

Same here! I have been at home now almost 3 years and its been the best. I stay in my lane and my husband in his. Everything has worked out so well for us and i am so thankful to not miss anything. I have an almost 3 year old boy and a 7 month old daughter. If i feel overwhelmed or need a break, I hire a sitter for a couple of hours but that is very rarely. I love being with my kids and before I know it they will be in school unless I homeschool which we are highly considering

Wanted to give you guys a great piece of advice! Make sure you don’t have Smokey wear crocs when at the park! My niece broke her leg at 1 year old bc her leg got stuck going around the slide from the rubber of the croc. I guess it’s a super common injury per the doctors. Just wanted to pass it on to avoid any injury for anyone reading this 🙏🏼

It’s the best balance right now. ❤ they go to a church daycare 3x/wk for 3 hrs each day. It gives mama a little break and allows some structure and socialization for them!

We’ve watched for a few years now and you have both inspired so much of our home decor and nutrition. This my first time commenting so I feel a little more connected. It’s so exciting to see you as parents! You’re both AMAZING as we knew you would be! We prayed for over ten years, after having trouble getting pregnant. I stopped thinking about a baby as much as time passed, we let go and let God! Then My hubby and I thought we were all done (27 and 20 year old daughters). We got really, really fit! We were enjoying our grandson.🥰 Then, I was late and thought it was early menopause 😭turns out I was pregnant at 43😮 after ten years. She’s 5 now, and I’ll be 50 in October. When COVID happened, I transitioned from brick/mortar teaching (13 years) to virtual teaching from home, thank God! Extended my breastfeeding unintentionally for two years, that was tough. I now love working from home. I struggled with boundaries for a while, but I can relate to how you feel. My mom watched her and I would get all the feels 😍 from how attached they became but I also felt guilty for my absence. I remember with my older ones, I tried to be a stay at home mom and lasted 6 months 😂 I went totally stir crazy! Needless to say, I always wanted more! Working from home is the perfect balance, and you are doing an AWESOME mom job all around! We’ve prayed for your family and a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Smoke is ADORABLE! God bless! Keep it up guys, God bless and your beautiful family always!❤️🙏🏼 Alicia

Hiii 🧡 im so happy you brought up the topic about work/life balance + mom guilt. I’m a mama to a 10 month old baby boy. I work full time but my job is flexible in the sense that I work remote (which often leads to working odd hours). I chose this and left my 9-5 job so I could have more time with my son- now he goes to daycare but I constantly feel guilty about it. But, on the days that I’m home with him all day, it’s literally impossible to get any work done. Definitely in a challenging time trying to balance everything but everyone keeps telling you “you’re going to miss these days, be happy and grateful for the chaos”. If you or any one had any podcasts you recommend suggest I’m all ears!! 🙏🏻

Stay at home mama here. I worked until my oldest was 1 when I decided to quit and become a full time SAHM. I felt like I was missing all her little moments and milestones. My mom watched her and of course recorded and took pictures of everything she did, but it wasn’t the same as me being there with her. I’ve been a SAHM ever since and love and appreciate the fact that I have that privilege. Time is a thief and all we’re left with at the end is the memories. ❤

Yes it’s hard, yes it’s tiring, yes it’s busy but there’s gonna be a season of life where I can have more time for myself and work full time etc. Right now I feel like my season of life is being there with my kids for every moment! They grow so fast literally a blink and they’re off to school full time. I wanna be present and be part of their journey now when they need me and are home and am so grateful for that! ❤️

My son is 2.5 and since my maternity leave was over, I left my full time job to freelance my services part time from home. I’m my own boss essentially now (I have clients that I do work for) so I can work whenever and wherever. It’s isolating. My work is interior design based so I’m on the computer a lot but it doesn’t bother me at all. I’m not a very social person so I don’t crave that. I probably get about 3-5 hours of work done on a given day. And thankfully 2 of those hours is during my son’s nap so I’m with him essentially all day. I love it. I love being with him and this time is going so fast. I’m so grateful that I have had these years with him. I’m pregnant with no 2 and final, and planning for the same situation with them both. No plans to change my work situation. My husband works full time away from home so it just works for us.

I’ve been both working mom and SAHM. When I was working I was also trying to watch my baby two days a week and the quality was NOT there, I was stretching myself way too thin and I was just frustrated. Being full time SAHM is a blessing but I also would never turn down help if it was offered 😂 Maybe it’s the age (my daughter is 2) but it does get trying some days and feels like I can never do anything for myself. However I feel sooo fortunate and so thankful to my husband for giving us this amazing life and wouldn’t change it for anything!!! They grow soooo fast and being with them gives you so much influence on the people they become. ❤

Full time dental hygienist, I work 3 1/2 days a week and get 3 full days with the babies. I feel like i get the perfect balance where I get to spend time with my babies, still feel like i get “me” time and I still get to live out my passions and career that I made for myself pre babies. The flexibility is very helpful but I also am blessed with a nanny I can call on and trust with the babies when I need extra time for myself since family don’t live near by anymore.

I think it’s ALL about finding the perfect balance. I know for others working full time is best and visa versa. I couldn’t stay home full time and I also couldn’t work full time either. I used to work up to 6 days a week and truly was obsessed with staying busy working. My daughter is 4 months old and it’s wild how much my perspective has changed. Now I’m down to three days a week. I feel so much more peace with this amount of working. Even working four days a week was too much for me because I felt like I would be spending most of her life (since that’s most of the week) away from my daughter. Crazy how much having your own child changes everything. Also, I was gonna comment and say how lean and muscular you’re looking so your clip about your arms made me lol

Its the best choice i've made, from the point of saving money on daycare, but i would love to able to have help sometimes, it does spread yourself thin and patience wears off. What happens in the early years is so important and you only get one shot at it. Teaching will always be there. The tug you’re feeling is normal! Hey Juj, I am a full-time SAHM and a full-time content creator as well. I also homeschool my daughter 4 days a week and she attends an options program for homeschooled kiddos 1 day a week. I have been a SAHM for 8 years. Ava is almost 9. She will be 9 in August. I used to be a CNA who worked in memory care for Alzheimer’s patients for 15 years before I became a mother. So my entire identity shifted and I was fortunate that I had a significant presence on social media before motherhood. That helped mold me into a full-time content creator. It is a consistent struggle to balance it all and the mom guilt is 100% rough on me. I feel guilty when I work cause I feel like if I’m shooting content I’m missing out on spending quality time with my daughter. My husband is a wonderful dad and is very hands-on but he also works full-time as an energy auditor for the county we live in. We are from Colorado. I don’t have help around. So I’m always juggling my career, my motherhood duties, being a dutiful wife, being a good pet mama to my cat and kitten, and being great at my career. It’s a circus over here 👈 and I can say I felt what you said about the isolation of our careers on social media. I don’t have many friends in real life. I have 2 and I see them rarely since they are busy as wives and mothers. Anyway, I just wanted to share that I feel like as mothers whether we work outside the home, work from home, or are full-time SAHMs we all feel guilty somewhere in our day-to-day duties. I think having a village of other moms around even on social media can help. I know seeing your videos and your authenticity helps me so much. You are a WONDERFUL mama! ❤ that’s my long winded two cents lol. 😂

I’ve been a SAHM for 20+ years with 4 amazing children (with side jobs and I’ve gone to cosmetology) Being a mom is a full time job and i feel men take it for granted sometimes. Not Hunter! He seems to be considerate! I’ve been married for 20 years. If i could give a little slice of advice it would be to have a plan B just in case life hits you with unexpected events.

I was a stay at home mom first with my first two kids (now 7 and 5) and became a work at home mom (partially at home, partially running a business) shortly after my 3rd baby- now 3! What I realize is that both are so hard! When you’re a stay at home mom, you wish you had something other than being a mom, feel burnt out by the kids and housework, personally wished I could do something for myself I loved too (interiors for me!). We now have a successful business that I run with 3 kids and now I’m missing those stay at home days!! Especially now with my big kids in sports and school events, etc. feel like I’m spread thin! So it’s very much a little bit of both how you said!! 🤍 love what I do but definitely more stressed wearing all the hats!

OMGEEE Smokie Bear on the tite in the living room had be cracking up… his facial expressions were hilarious!!! I think he’s going to be a ham… he just is so expressive 🤣🤣🤣! No kids… but def can see both sides. I have never seen myself as a SAHM/housewife type. I definitely like adult interactions and need mental and intellectual stimulation daily. I think it’s awesome that women have choices and should do what works for their family.

i was a teacher, got pregnant with my first right around the same time as you! my husband and i decided that it’d be better for me to stay home as my salary would pay for childcare and nothing else. my husband is in law enforcement and luckily allows me to be home. i do work one day a week for myself to get out of the house and for fun money. i love being home but i do feel bad not being able to contribute to bills. it works for us and now im due with baby #2 so ill be home until they’re in school.

I’m a singer in a band and I’ve been doing this updo for outdoor gigs to keep cool. Just a tip, when you put those two front pieces back after bun is made, put them UNDER the bun hair pieces. Makes the bun hair pieces look longer. AND use Bobby pins to perfect the bun if needed. Yesterday I used 12 Bobby pins to really perfect it all. 😂😂😂 But yours looked great!! Just tips to make it quicker. You’re awesome Julia!

I have a 9 month old and I recently went down to 3 days/week. It is sooo nice especially since I’m still exclusively breastfeeding. I feel like I get the balance of being present/enjoying time with my baby boy while also getting a break to be an individual and still be a creative in my job.

I work FT from home, hubs works from home too, our daughter is home with us and we homeschool. It’s a challenge, no help at all right now so we tag team as much as we can. It does often feel like I’m not doing any one thing particularly well, I try to just pick my battles to stay sane, it’s very up and down. I haven’t found a good rhythm yet 😮

I’m a nurse! It’s a good mom job. You can work as little or as much as you want. You can have a variety of schedules too! Having help is important. I’ve sent my littles to Mother’s Day out for the social aspect and some childcare. ❤ also, how is Smokey turning ONE this week! 😮😊

Mom of 3 here and I just got back to work after having a year off maternity with our youngest (one in June) Id love to stay at home and be with them til they go to school (here that's 4) but we have to work. So unfortunately they need care. If you have help few days a week that's perfect so you can work. It's so so hard to work with your kids around. So I think is mom's guilt( a very heartbreaking feeling at times! ) but you guys seem like you're crushing the parenting thing😊

I live in Nashville too and I just quit my job this month to stay at home with my 7 month old. It has been wonderful. I kicked off SAHM life with the Morgan Wallen concert and then a week long beach vacation in FL, so that might be why the transition has been so easy 😂

I’ve been both a working mom and a stay at home mom. I love both aspects of it. I would much rather be a stay at home mom again or work from home mom again because of being able to have that full on flexibility for my children. I currently work about 25 minutes away home home and it can be tough but I only work 4 days a week. (4x10 schedule) I also do KZbin (two channels) on top of everything. It has its tough days but I have ADHD (unmediated) and it works well for me to always be busy. Love your channel! ❤
