I've watched a lot of blueprints tutorials, but this one here is the best out there. It's like a paid course or even more. Thank you very much!

I've noticed a lot of tutorials on KZbin, be it guitar techniques to Unreal Engine, do a lot of "here's HOW" in their videos. You do something that I always want to know, WHY do we do this. Not just "here's how to make a light turn off." You go into detail as to why things are working the way they are.

I've watched prob around a hundred hours of KZbin tutorials on UE. You are the best I have found, because you really take the time to explain everything. I'm watching every one of your vids and will be joining your Discord too

I am finally getting somewhere with understanding this. Thank you so much for this series!!! I've decided to push myself with each episode. In this one I took it a step further by making a light that turned on when a approached and off when I moved away.
@BeefaloBart7 жыл бұрын
With this basic setup for the box collision and being able to toggle visibility of the light you can create all sorts of effects. Change the default visibility to off on the light, make the collision box bigger, and even add event end overlap nodes. Now when the player walks into the collision box the light turns on, and off when they leave. This little bit of code can grow into so many other things with your imagination.

We begin working with Blueprint class allowing us to add extra functionality, enjoy!

Virtus you could ask in your videos for people that learned with your videos to show the games that they created so you could share here or make a showcase, I think it would be really cool.

I can't even describe how thankful I am for this tutorial. Sure, there are other channels doing BP tutorials but I find your method a bit more comprehensive. Oh, and thanks in advance for the C++ series that I understand you will do after this one is complete. :)

You don't need to drag component into bp panel in order to get possible events. You can simply select it and get it on details panel for that component. Seems like unnecessary step. However, nice tutorials for users who just started to work with UE4.

Start learning Unreal Engine 5 for my college final project but other tutorial only like "Lets create a car from a scratch" in like 2 to 5 hours video and will always lost and confused in the middle of tutorial and in the end I dont feel like learning just copying. But in your (this) tutorial playlist you breakdown from the tools like "How using hammer to create the car" like from how to grab it/handle it. Big thanks and God bless you bro.

Found it strange that the box node isn't visually connected. Even more when you deleted it from the graph without comment.
@alaaentabi78794 жыл бұрын
same here , in the OnComponentBeginOverlap node it has (box) after the name to distinguish it, the box node was just means to an end
