There will be a time when these teachers are seen as leaders, at the moment though there is too much greed, ignorance and material lust so people look to wealthy/famous/beautiful people as leaders. The winds of change are always blowing though.

@@vanessar88 ... good on you.. age has very little to do with being able to understand truth... some people look for it all their lives... for anxiety... read a book... turn off your TV... you won't miss anything.. except things you can't change.. far far away... we can only change ourselves, sister.. it starts with the stuff Master Rinpoche talks about... and the Dalai Lama... these guys are... very very wise... Rinpoche = enlightened being... I'm listening to them every day.. I'm 13.. going on 70 in a few months.. I promised myself never to grow up about 65 years ago... ok so far ✌️ Peace ❤️♾️❤️

As Albert Einstein said: “If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough”. Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche is a gifted teacher. I have attended/listen to these kinds of lectures for years. In my humble opinion, he is the best. I would recommend him especially for beginners/intermediate.

teachers are special people.. although it's not true that some people are more equal than others.. in our various pursuits some are better than others.. A Einstein said if you can't describe it simply you don't understand it well enough 😉.. Master Youngey Mingyur Rinpoche has a very deep understanding of his various subjects.. that's why I am here.. thanks y'all.. and thank you Master.. I am your most humble servant, sir 🙏Namaste

This is simply awesome. I have seen very few people even attempt to explain this sort of thing. They often do a horrible job of explaining it because they don't seem to fully understand it. He does a great thing here. It's not a cut and dried process. It takes work to break the cycle of reactive emotions and thoughts. Giving energy to alternate neural network s instead of playing the game they demand is the right way to go. This is how you overcome negative emotion.

Thank you for this video. Great analogies and such an inspiring and hopeful tone. I recently became aware of just how much difficult emotions were impacting my life and relationships. I have a pattern of feeling foggy, confused and helpless when swept away with difficult thoughts and the strong emotions that follow them. Against my best intentions, I find myself getting caught up on the same things time and time again, suffering even more because I so badly do not want the cycle to continue. This is such an important topic and I feel it should be taught to children, too. It is going to take practice, but I can not think of a more deserving goal. Thank you 💛🙏

Don't jump into the river (of emotions) and be carried away (by it). You can't stop the river either. So, just WATCH the river. Power of awareness. Mindful of how the body feels. Practise to extend the time between the rise of emotion and impulsive action.
