To be honest, this is the first time I see this method, and it never crossed my mind. really thanks 🙏

Great feature. I've stopped using the drum Editor long time ago, but now I'm reconsidering... Can you "explode" midi to different tracks / channels / ports?

Thanks for this excellent video tutorial. Something very different to what we normally do. Btw I can't get my normal midi songs to play through sonic 7. Everything loads but halion 7 ( which cubase 12 pro has provided free) just won't load the midi s instruments. Thanks again.

Greg, I need help with drum audio files 12 in all. I want to record all instruments but keep each track in each take. Then how do I manage those to play back and export. Do I need to pick each track or is there a global place to pick versions for all tacks.

Is there a way one single note trigger more than one instrument? For example C1 to trigger a kick from Groove Agent and a kick from Halion. Mind blowing lesson, thanks a lot Greg
@Yuusou. Жыл бұрын
With the MIDI track you can do that. Under MIDI Sends, you can choose to which track you want to send the recorded MIDI data. However, this won't work with the drum map, because the input note can only be used once. That's the reason why Greg copied the same rhythm over two different notes.
@gregondo376 Жыл бұрын
You can easily copy the notes to a different lane and route to a different instrument t for easy layering.

How do you convert stereo vst drums into mono on individual tracks?
@LearnWithStephen Жыл бұрын
Is there a way to convert any percussive signal recorded with a microphone into a miditrack that I could assign to a 'drum' say from Groove agent? I Don't have a drum kit but would like to 'play' using sticks.
@RenanBEreanSound Жыл бұрын
open the recorded audio in the sample editor window. search for the hitpoints tab. adjust the threshold to get the notes you want, then hit create MIDI notes, it will create a new midi track. then you put the vsti you want

Very helpful! However, I have one issue: the Ctrl + click for setting the MIDI channel doesn't seem to work on Windows 10. Tried Shift , Alt, and combo's of pairs of the three and nothing seemed to work. Any suggestions (other than 'Get a Mac!') Thanks!
@gregondo376 Жыл бұрын
Try clicking on the channel field so that the MIDI channel pop up appears while holding the left mouse button down. Press and hold the control key, select the channel and then select the desired MIDI channel. All MIDI channels should then be changed to the selected channel.

Love Cubase but one thing which drives me crazy .. You Can't See the audio waveform DURING resizing (manually time-stretching via dragging the audio). Only after you've committed !! Have I gotten this wrong? It's hard to find any information about it. It would make timestretching so much easier if I didn't have to 'guess' before committing - I cannot see the waveform during the stretching.
@gregondo376 Жыл бұрын
If you are doing the stretch for an entire event try switching the object selection tool to sizing applies time stretch mode. If it is for a particular hit or section of the file use free warp mode on the warp tool.
@xsessivmc Жыл бұрын

The step sequencer in Cubase needs to be improved. It is the only feature that is lacking in Cubase. It would be great if Cubase has Studio One's features like musicloop.

Guys, the drum designer is outdated, UI is old, no step values for pitch, pan, quantize, etc. The beat designer is- AN INSERT MIDI PLUGIN. WHY?
@antoinebunel Жыл бұрын
Very useful BUT please next time don't let the repetitive click and beat on loop so loud, no need. We don't need to hear so much of the output, mostly just see the trick performed. Thanks.
