Joe, this is wonderful. I worked with you at WAMC PACU in 2000-2001, you were a super person, and it is wonderful to see you in the role of CRNA and to see how you have accomplished your dream over the years. This video was part of my NUR 5000 videos for our class with roles of the APN at South University. Keep encouraging others you as you move forward professionally. Duke has a wonderful voice speaking for the CRNA's at their institution.

Maybe I'm biased, being in CRNA school myself, but it's a great field and this video does a good job showing that.

Random dude and what are you trying to prove here? That your wife’s PhD program is so much more challenging than CRNA school so therefore his comment is redundant? All that I am gathering here is that this guy is a proud SRNA and enjoys sharing medical experiences with the KZbin community. Your comment is rude and pointless.

I might be ignorant but isn't this what the Anesthesiologist does?
@amohamoud39927 жыл бұрын
Sometimes, back in the day doctors were too prideful to be behind the anesthetics so nurses had to do it... now most hospitals have the anesthesiologists just sign off on papers and help the nurse anesthetist

CRNA's do exactly the same thing as an Anesthesiologist

Pretty much, but they are doctors so they get paid more.

Nurse Anesthetists in most states work under the supervision of an Board Certified MD (Anesthesiologist). Often they provide anesthesia in routine cases that are performed in surgical outpatient situations (often without MD supervision). If you have had a previous difficult experience receiving anesthesia or emerging from Anesthesia you should discuss your concerns with the Nurse Anesthetist and the attending physician (MD). More training = more knowledge.

No the prerequisite for nursing is a basic college statistics course! No calc, trig, or physics required!!

@@amohamoud3992 that is nursing, this is CRNA which DOES require physics and more advanced math!!
