Deep Water Summer Lake Trout on PK Lures (Lake Winnipesaukee)

We had another great day fishing for summer lakers (lake trout) on Winnipesaukee. Today I was using the PK Lure that can be purchased at the "Hole in the Wall" tackle shop in downtown Wolfeboro, NH. We were in 115 feet of water and fish were suspended between 60 and 80 feet.

I wonder if you are jigging at the dept they are suspended or you go at the bottom. It seems to me it makes more sens to jig at the suspended depth.

you said that you're using 5/8 oz jig, but do you have any trouble maintaining tension when it gets a little windy out?

Quinn Galante-Barrett no, not really. but in 100 plus feet of water it's tricky to keep the lure on bottom in strong winds. as you can imagine the line isn't vertical any more..
