Any other artist saying “you may clap” at the end of their song would be either cringeworthy or come off as weird, but when Noel says “you may clap” at the end of this song is absolutely fucking legendary level shit.

For years there was only the 260p version of this performance on KZbin, but now that Oasis have reformed...

Thx for posting. For years all we had was the low res version of this performance and didn’t know a tv show interview proceeded it. I’ve watched hundreds of Noel’s interviews including documentaries over the past 20 years and IMO I find his opinions and stories to be fascinating and entertaining not just in music but of any genre of life. Noel just has a unique way with words and thought process, And one of the most talented musical geniuses ever. No one else in history was still writing so many incredible songs into their mid 50’s. It’s just insane. Beyond belief.

One of the best and funniest interviews done with Noel (IMO). Tom was as quick-witted then as he is today.

To my ears, Oasis songs always sound better with Noel's voice. --Sounds sincere. I don't know if that makes sense, haha.
@Mani2603198129 күн бұрын
Completely agree. In fact, when it comes to vocal range Noel outshines Liam all day. I think the issue is that Noel's voice and tone are perfect for acoustic concerts and performances while Liam is clearly more suited for the bigger stages. I definitely think Noel can do Glastonbury or something similar though.

It's down to him writing virtually all of the songs bar one or two and composing all of the music the music. Noel is the heart of oasis liam is the powerful in your face frontman.

Noel Gallagher once again proving that he is the brain, heart and soul of Oasis. Liam is just the voice and the mouth.
@yesno983429 күн бұрын
“Liam is ‘just’ the voice and the mouth” - yeah, exactly. Without Liam’s voice Oasis wouldn’t be huge. Without Noel’s songs they wouldn’t be huge. They needed each other.
@Black_Caucus25 күн бұрын
They needed each other and it’s perfectly clear.

Have u heard noel singing in this video? Its beautiful but do you get crowds of millions of fans on fire with this voice on every song? Need to wake i think. Thats like saying “a good director doesn’t need actors HE IS the movie” lol

Great interview. Thanks for posting. Shame that whoever miced up his guitar didn’t think more about the tone. It sounded a bit naff, but I’m sure it has a lovely tone.
@iggylow9429 күн бұрын
The guitar is not miced up it has a piezo system (sort of internal pickup ) that’s why it sounds like that
@malpreece500829 күн бұрын
@@iggylow94 It can’t be a very good pick-up because it’s not preserving the sound of the acoustic. It sounds really tinny. I have an LR-Baggs pickup on my old jumbo Epiphone EJ-200 (wannabe Gibson J-200) and it sounds better than that. 🤷🏻♂️

@@malpreece5008 haha no indeed it sounds really bad I’ve had better on my acoustic too
