47:35 But they did explain why, because Khonshu actively uses his avatars as Moon Knight to bring justice. Which bring unwanted attention to the gods, who prefer to just remain observant.

This episode really had me feeling a lot for Marc. Specifically that scene when he is inside the pyramid during the trail. Marc seemed so worn down. He was thrown into that situation without knowing what to expect. When Marc yells "Liar!" as Khonshu takes over him...he just looks so damn exhausted and fragile. He's shaking and at one point a tear slides down his face. I agree when yal stated that Marc is much more complex the more time you spend with him. He's been bearing the weight of his mental illness by himself (Layla didn't even KNOW about it) and only now that his mind is fracturing are we seeing what he has to go through. I quite love this show; it's been my favorite Marvel show so far with how different it is. And Oscar Isaac is CRUSHING it.

It's called dissociative identity disorder :) Used to be called multiple personality disorder. It's a defense mechanism. Brain creates an alter or alters to deal with a traumatic experience or various situations. Interacting to note that the alter "Steven" seems to be Layla's ideal husband lol

Huh. since the 3rd persona is very violent, I think he is the one controlling Steven during the first episode.

The fact that is was Khonshu who made the accusation made the gods biased from the start. And Harrow played it well, he probably knew that the other gods (also betrayers of Ammit) only judge after a crime is committed not before.

Not quite like the Eternals. The Eternals were forbidden from intervening by the Celestials. The Egyptian gods chose of their own volition to not intervene. No one else forced them to make that decision.
@NeophyteNovice2 жыл бұрын
Obviously, but in the sense they are both not interfering that’s the connection they made, and technically human kind forced them to make that decision

25:14 Steven is into Egyptian things so he would definitely know their language, but when mark talked in Arabic to the taxi driver he was surprised that he can talk Arabic that implies that whoever hired the taxi driver did not knew Arabic, so it cannot be mark or Steven so it should be the third personality . spoiler. third personality is a taxi driver so its a subtle way to hint his existence in a taxi (classic MCU)

@WorkingTitleReacts, 14:29 Madripoor was introduced into the MCU in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Zemo took Sam and Bucky there to meet the Power Broker, to get their hands on the Super Soldier serum. Apparently, DID develops during childhood during a traumatic experience. Steven was unaware of Marc, but Marc was aware of him. What's more, Marc, somehow, had a way to manage his issues. I suspect his death or near death experience is what broke his grasp on his condition. His union with Khonshu is likely the cause of his new persona--Marc isn't aware of Jake Lockley (assuming the third one goes by the same name in the comics, though I wouldn't be surprised if they actually called him "Scotty"). Khonshu should have had a better plan, but maybe his plan was to sacrifice himself. There was nothing he could do really, as he was already in bad standing. Harrow was his former Avatar, who, apparently is still on good terms with the others. They also might have been the ones to free him from Khonshu's grasp. Hathor sympathized with Khonshu and Marc and as a result, gave him information to find more proof to expose Harrow. What Khonshu did to Harrow is likely why the other gods believed Harrow over Khonshu? Harrow didn't take Khonshu's bait. He kept his cool and actually told the truth, save for the bit about Ammit. Everything he said about Khonshu and Marc was true, and Marc confirmed it when he said he was unwell. Still, Marc did step up by supporting Khonshu in his accusations of Harrow's wrong doing. 16:04 Marc probably blames himself for this, as he likely saw the aftermath, but I don't think it was Marc, but Jake. In the first episode we saw bodies galore in the alps when Steven blacked out. We all assumed it was Marc, but I'm starting to think it was Jake. We've seen Marc fight as himself, and he isn't a brutal killer. I think that's Jake's M.O.. 19:18 I think Marc's telling the truth and is being honest, but his delivery makes it look like he's being a dick right here. Like I said earlier, I think the one responsible is Jake. 22:25 Khonshu's powers may be gone, but they got Jake for better or for worst. With Harrow as the big bad, I think they're going to need Jake without Khonshu's powers. The guy's a savage! 23:20 This confession right here, should make Khonshu see the error in his ways and have him ease up on Marc.

I don't know much about Moon Knight lore but the whole other gods having avatars thing feels like they're borrowing from Iron Fist if they don't plan on continuing with that character, might as well borrow cool concepts and use them in other places.
@huntrdragn45592 жыл бұрын
A lot of Marvel gods have avatars. The X-Men villain Juggernaut is the avatar of the god Cyttorrak, who gives him his strength, size, and armor.
@huntrdragn45592 жыл бұрын
Iron Fist also isn't a godly avatar, he wields flaming chi stolen from the heart of Shou-Lou the Undying, an immortal dragon that all Iron Fists must defeat to earn their power.
