Im in 10 grade this year i never made the middle school team but last year i started doing 2 workouts a day and this summer i did 3-4 a day and im starting varsity‼️Take care of your body work hard and never give up💯

AvarageNBAFan 1 So monday-saturday i wake up at 6 and lift till abt 7:15 then after school at 3-4:30 i get a skills workout in and then around 7 i get 400-500 shots up on sunday i get my shots up and then play pick up when i start having practices my schedules gonna change but some days are harder than others just always ice your knees and stretch for at least 15 minutes before you ever hit the court

AvarageNBAFan 1 also find what schedule works best for you,you might not be able to do 3 workouts a day monday through friday but be able to on the weekends just work hard my boy good luck!

As a 7th grader my school starts at 8:35am - 3:25pm, i’m planning my workouts like this. 5:30am - 6:30am, Body workout; Arms (50 Pushups, 50 Sit-ups, 20x3 Dumbbell Curls) School time and end 4:00pm - 6:00pm, Basketball Workout (10x3 form shots, Pull-up midrange shots, Casual 3-point shots) 6:00pm - 7:30pm, School work 7:30pm - 8:30pm, Body workout; Legs (12x3 Squats, Calve raises, Lunges, Conditioning) 8:30pm - 9:00pm, Vertical workout (Box jumps, Running up stairs) 9:00pm - 5:30am, Sleep & Repeat.

I remember working out consistently everyday until, started to fall behind on my grades for like a week. So, i didnt get to workout for that week, and when i came back i was jumping 10x more higher doing dunks i could only dream of doing before. So, though its good to workout consistently working out everyday holds you back because it doesnt give your muscles enough time to heal.

George 1)dribble pull ups from both sides 2)snatch back both directions pull ups 3)step backs both directions shots 4)regular catch and shoot shots 5)depending on where you are on the court do screens, v cuts all that from every spot on the floor

I’ve never had a hoop so I’m one of those guys that is a great ball handler and is great at finishing because I do a lot of body workouts since I don’t have a goal

I can't waste showers and laundry like that😂 Body workout 4-5, 10 minute break, skills 5-7 (only ball handling rn cause my hoop is broken). And some deliberate film watching during the day

Weekdays: 5:00am wake up, into a 3-10 mile run Go to school 8:00am to 3:00pm Hit the court from 3:00pm to 6:30pm putting up shots working on skills and doing 1 on 1’s Then hit the weights at 8:00pm to 10:00pm Weekends: 9:00am wake up and lift from 10:00am to 12:00pm Then from 12:00pm to 8:00pm on the court

​@@Collin258 It has been going really great, now I am back training with my team and I am a lot better. Coach started to notice me and right now I think I am one of the best players in our team (before I was just a average player). Now that everything is closed out here (gyms, courts etc.) I can't really push myself to limits that I used to push myself before everything closed. But I am trying to workout at home. I still do 2-3 workouts a day!

I already worked out this much or more over quarantine (except when I went on vacation) and I’m a completely different player. I went from being a bench player on a club team to having a very high chance at making JV in a few months

I'm usually the best player on the court in ball handling and shooting drills but when I enter any sort of game I just completely flop. I know I have to start practicing in live games, but do you know the best way to study these games? Should I ask someone to film my pick-up games to find my strengths and weaknesses?

This is a confidence/mindset issue. Also you need to be working on drills at game speed consistently. That way in games you’re used to that speed. As far as studying film it’s best to watch yourself but also have a person watch it as well to see your weaknesses for you

Hi Ryan, I have a question, how can I train more, I'm from Spain and here we don't have high school or college related with basketball. I train 4 days a week only once a day but for 2 hours and a half including 1 hour of body workout. The days I am not with the team I'm doing things by myself, usually body weight. I am in one of the top 4 basketball clubs in Madrid

Monday - Friday 45 Minute Skill Workout Rest Weights (30 Minutes) Rest 45 Minute Skills/Shooting 30 Minutes - 1 Hour Film/Study the game Saturday - Sunday 45 Minute Skills Rest Body Weight (Pushups, Pullups, etc) Bike Ride/Go on a walk/Stay active in some way but take this time to let your body recover Can also play pickup or go against some kind of comp in between any point in any of these days, usually about 1-2 hours a day, this is about 3.5-4 hours of work a day on the weekdays and enough skills/rest on the weekends to let your body recover. This worked for me at least, and I'm playing college ball because I did this and changed my diet, increased calorie intake, cut out soda years ago, cut down on meat intake, etc

I wish I was hip to this information when I was younger, however back then I despised waking up early, still do till this day, but nothing good comes easy, if you really want something, you have to sacrifice for it and put in that work, there are no shortcuts to success, what you put in is what you get out, if I put in this kind of work in track and field, I could've went D1, but I ain't have a real passion for it, and I had no chance playing basketball cause the coaches played favorites

I was killing in tryouts and didn't even make the team, I was clearly better than a couple of players on the team, but I guess the coaches didn't feel like I had the size or proper skill set 😒😒, Oh well, their loss, and what's crazy is the team ended up making the state tournament that year, so possibly they could've been better if I was on the team, guess we'll never know, If I were you I would transfer to a different school, preferably one where you know the coaches and/or players on the team that can help you get on before it's too late, I wish I had gone to a different school
