"We don't wake up every morning to be second best..." classic quote from Oklahoma XC. Not comparing to other college level XC, but an easy 12 miler at 5:20+ pace? That is very impressive. Though I have my doubts about that being "aerobic" for these very fit college athletes. Nevertheless, it is quite impressive.
@i64stupid4 жыл бұрын
Its prob a bit slower than marathon pace for these guys lok
@mf_017 жыл бұрын
Running on that dirt road with no shirts reminds me that one time last year my XC team was at the XC Peaks Invitational in Flagstaff and this one guy was running on the gravel road the night before the race and he fell. We then sat outside the hospital in the us for an hour or two and then went and ate dinner. Then the bus went and picked him up from the hospital. He was ok.

You wouldn't literally die. Most likely. You would just tire out and not be able to go that fast. Maybe not even able to do the first 200m. And then walk and quit. But yes. It is very impressive. That was a "recovery run"? 12 miles at 5:20 pace?

Anyone else realize that almost every other mile, it's a different group of guys? Like what happens to the dude with the pony tail in mile 6 or 7? Then he's back up there with them in mile 8😂 weird? It happens for most of the guys
@JiveMusic6 жыл бұрын
He was probably doing a workout of some sort.
@charliecheesman6 жыл бұрын
They're all doing the same workout and hanging on for as long as they can. The reason for the differences in numbers is the way the shots have been edited together out-of-order for the video. You can see people running behind at 3:45 and 4:09.
@tuesdaysrunner40386 жыл бұрын
They are not all in the same pack. Looks like they split into a few different groups. You notice that the women are far behind and not in the video except the beginning. Etc.

@blasbike7 жыл бұрын
easy to tell :) BMI around 19-21, VO2 above 65, fat around 4-7% :)
@parkerjones65987 жыл бұрын
Well like blasbike said, their vDot is above 65, but they are actually probably even above 70. 4:36 is the predicted mile for a 65, and I can guarantee you all these guys are faster milers than that, especially when watching how fast this workout was
