20,000 miles of owning the new Tundra so how has it been? The good and bad. Also cape Breton is beautiful any time of the year but especially in the fall.

Beautiful scenery there in the fall. I know exactly what you are talking about Tyson, I used to drive every day in my job, most days several hundred miles, and it does get your body stiff and sore if you don't have a comfortable seat in your vehicle. Take care my friend, and go easy on that knee.

Howdy ! You're right about the mountains....over here we call what you have foothills :) I used to have a sister that lived just outside of Marion bridge, the highlight of every visit in the winter months was going iceboat sailing on the Narrows, beautiful childhood memories !! I noticed the humming of your big tires while going down the highway, the seat thing is not indigenous to your Tundra...my GMC has the same thing but, on the leather seat side. Your rotors might be caused by the pads being, shall we say, not so compatible, maybe they're too hard...you know...wrong material for the braking force and material composition of the pads...who knows for sure, just a thought. Thanks for the vid, Be well !

It's been a really good year for the fall leaves in CB, it's gorgeous around the Cabot Trail. We've had a couple of bad years where a hurricane came in and knocked all the leaves off right at the start.

Truro is known as the Hub of Nova Scotia as it is located at the junction between the Canadian National Railway, running between Halifax and Montreal, and the Cape Breton and Central Nova Scotia Railway, running between Truro and Port Hawkesbury.

I find the e-diff on mine is hard on rear brakes, in fact it's the first vehicle I've ever had to change the rear brakes on for wear rather than rust I think. The only trouble I've had with front brakes is when one of the calipers seizes up. I find that's true of all 4 pots I've had though, I have to take them off whenever I change my winter tires over and make sure the pistons and pins have their full range of motion.

I had a 2023 Tundra built in August of 2023 that I just traded in for a 24 diesel trail boss. I put 47,000 km on mine and seat didn’t crack.

I haven’t had any issues with my seat but I’ve seen it all over the Facebook groups and forums. It seems most people have gotten it replaced under warranty

"the HUB" from my understanding its named this because its a center meeting point for people from its surroundings, cape breton, halifax ,new glasgow etc and all surrounding areas. a communal meeting and business point .

That's crazy that cracked, my fat ass is pretty hard on my 2011 and never cracked that, but it does not have that extra wing that supports the cushion, it goes in flat under. Anothr dumb design change for change's sake. Is your engine included in the recall?

Don't worry about that cracked plastic on the side of your seat. I'm sure the dealer can fix it with some gorilla glue. 😏😉 Maybe they can even glue a little splint on the underside.

I don't know if my usage is that different from yours. I regularly drive on unmade roads in new Hampshire, and used to off road in CA and NV in my 2014 Grand Cherokee diesel. It has the 350mm brakes because it has the towing package. I have a 17' trailer that sometimes probably has more than the rated 7,500 the jeep is supposed to tow. I have towed right across the US on I80. It is on its second set of brakes. I swapped the first set out at 140,000 miles. It is just on 230,000 now and will be replaced in the next year. Yes, I run things till they drop. No way should your front disks have failed at 20,000 km. Even if you were towing all the time that seems low. Even for old Fords with tiny disks, for their size, that seems low. Nissan had problems on the early Titans, but they increased the disks to 13.8", same as on the Jeep> I think the Tundra has 13.9" vented front rotors. Seems like this should have been warrantied.

Lot of tire howl😅 The seat thing is weird because with the million mile tundra Toyota made a big deal of how well the seat held up in that truck and made it something to study. I guess they thought it was made too well.
