Like many people, I imagine, on a Sunday evening I watch Tyrrell's Classic Workshop and Harry's Garage back to back; and this evening, with Harry talking about the tech-heavy depreciating performance cars available today (he doesn't like them either), and Iain showcasing the best of yesterday's performance cars, I will happily stay with yesterday...

Dad would have absolutely loved these episodes with Craig, I bet the two of them could have gone through a bottle of whisky talking leather. He was the world's leading expert in high quality leather processing... Especially Vegtanning. He was the go to consultant for all the highest end manufacturers of cars, bags, shoes etc. But he did ironically HATE having leather seats in his car or house 😂, he had special wool upholstery made in New Zealand by a friend of his for his SAAB when he ordered it. Which I must say, was just gorgeous to sit in, wool is where it's at for luxury; leather is for the chauffeur. ;-)
