Hi Alan. That’s a cracking attempt at making Kev’s optical centre punch. Well done indeed. 👏👏👍😀

All very nicely done Alan. The steam engine looks superb now. I bought my optical punch second hand, but Kev's design is excellent. Cheers Rob

Excellent job on the optical centre punch Alan. I did make one many years ago. It did work after a fashion, but I made a very poor job of the optical part. So was not a success and confined to the draw of shame. As you say, Kev made it look so easy. Especially how to polish the optical part. Happy Holidays Alan, and a great New Year. Cheers Nobby

No Kev, thank you for doing the video 👍👍👍 I don't do a lot of marking out, generally just make stuff up as I go along! I do occasionally need to drill a few accurate holes and this is going to be a godsend. Cheers, Alan.

Hi Kev. Just wanted to thank you again for showing me how to make one of these. I recently restored an old 1930s Primus Stove, there will be a couple of videos on that. Anyway I needed to make a grill for it so that I could use smaller pots with it than the original plate was designed for. This involved drilling 8 holes accurately in some square section steel. Used the optical centre punch for the first time. Brilliant, from now on I will be using it every time I need to mark out holes, it's just so easy. Cheers, Alan.
