After you remove the drain plug, go up top and remove the oil fill cap. It helps vent the engine and oil will drain better. Got that tip from my dealer when I bought the tractor

Hi Sam! Just came across your channel. I have the Kubota BX23S that I got in 2019. I’ve also got the same grapple. Your right. It is a good piece of equipment but it dose have some shortcomings like no grease fittings at the hydraulic cylinder attaching points. I love my little Kubota. I’ve got a small piece of property out in the bush and it’s perfect for that. I go overboard on oil changes as well. Oil is cheap compared to an engine overhaul. Enjoyed you video. Merry Christmas!

Even though your Kubota is a 2018... First thing you need to do when you bring home a new Kubota is check the front axle they are always low have no answer to why but both my tractors were low and every other video I've seen they are low..... With your 100 hours oil changes I find nothing wrong with it I actually have a lot of respect for someone that takes care of their tractor and has respect for it like that great job

When I did the 50 hour service on my BX2680, the biggest mess I made was when I got the bright idea to pull the transmission filter screen out to clean it....don't have any idea why I thought that would be a good idea before draining the transmission fluid first...as soon as I pulled that filter screen out oil shot out and lubricated the left side rear wheel/tire assembly, as well as my carport floor LOL. Other than that bit of a mess, the initial 50 hour service was very easy...full fluid and filter change on everything, and lubed all the grease points. Very easy service, wish cars were that easy now LOL. In this past year and a half I've only put 62 hours on my BX, so I think I will stick with an oil/filter change each year regardless of hours.

hey, now I don't have to crawl under and sort out that it's a 14mm. I could see, by the oil flow, that you did not break the vacuum. Take off the oil filler cap first. The oil will drain quickly, drawing more sludge with it. My dealer's travel charge is nuts. About to do the 50. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! Next time I'll take off the cap 👍 glad I could help with the wrench size 😁

Why did you use the UDT2 for the front axle instead of the 80W-90? Is that a winter thing?
@samsdoinstuff2 жыл бұрын
I'm 98% certain it's supposed to have UDT2... now you have me wondering 🤔
@wildbill23c2 жыл бұрын
@@samsdoinstuff The book says you can use the hydraulic oil or you can use gear oil. When I did the 50 hour service I just used the UDT2, 1 less oil to have to keep around IMO, but you can use either.
@wildbill23c2 жыл бұрын
You can use either the UDT2 or gear oil, has nothing to do with seasons. To me its just easier to stick to 1 fluid instead of having to buy yet another fluid. The machine comes filled with UDT from the factory and is a little thinner than gear oil when cold.
