I have that exact one. It spent most of its life in my garage and has only been used maybe 10 or 12 times. Now it won't even hold pressure. It just goes up and down up and down

Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well kzbin.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.

Your struggles are exactly what most see with Electric pressure washers. That is why I suggest buying local. With your gas model, use stabil in every tank and it will last forever.

I just bought a Active Jobsite VE52, I've only tried it a bit so far, but it seems very nice. 1800psi 2.0 gpm electric, quiet, small and portable. Oh, it was $210.

@@WorkshopAddict Every review I found that did tests gives it just under 2 gpm, over 1.7. And a reasonable accurate psi. Though I haven't done the timed test myself yet.

Great review. I own this pressure washer, reviewed it myself, and I agree with everything you've said here. I do love the little thing. I ended up using the Turbo attachment for my car and it was completely safe. Again, great review.

The turbo is supposed to only hit 800PSI and when I tested it it only when to around 820 for me. When using the 15 degree I got 2100PSI. So the turbo is relatively safe, but the turbo completely destroyed the paint on the side of my house. I stick to the 40 on my car.

Be and Landa make some excellent electric pressure washers. I bought one of these to replace a older commercial grade electric pressure washer that finally died. I threw the hose away and installed quick connects with a real hose. I wish you could adjust the pressure but don't expect much for 300 bucks. I'll tell you my one serious complaint is that when I put a pressure gauge on it I have never achieved more then 1200 psi. Where on my gas units I'm generally with in a few hundred psi of max pressure.

I gave up on electric pressure washers. However, STIHL does make a good one👍. Self shut off and turn on with a trigger squeeze. Small garage I worked at had two and I liked them alot. Probably put out be at pressure of any electric out there.

It's nice to see a removeable soap tank for easy cleaning and rinsing. I wish more manufacturers would build their machines this way instead of using non-removeable soap tanks.

@@elviejondelabarba492They each have their place. A soap dispenser is best for washing house siding whereas a foam cannon is nice for vehicles and machinery. I have a new Karcher unit with a soap tank that just lifts out. I also have a soap cannon. I use whichever is best for the task at hand.

I've always been a nut for getting high psi gas washers but really didn't know that some electrics auto turn off which is great for small tasks and washing a car when you go back and forth using it. Plus you can experiment with bigger tip orifice size to get more gpm out of it.
@Gaba-oo4qb
@Gaba-oo4qb 3 жыл бұрын
Yes psi equates to power and gpm equates to rate. I wouldn’t agree that gpm will mean “how fast you clean a deck”. How fast you clean a deck will be dependent how thick is the grim on the deck and what kind of grim is it - whether it’s dried up oil spill or algae, etc. So really your effort and success on cleaning will be dependent on both psi rate and gpm rate and what you are trying to wash off. I would multiply gpm by pressure to determine efficiency.

Nice review! Great item for small jobs! However, after working with a friend in a professional pressure washing business during the 2007-8 economic downturn, I can't use anything but a gas powered pressure washer, especially for a 12" surface cleaner. The pressure washer and my generator are the only gas tools I use these days. First thing I did when I bought my pressure washer was replace the wand and the hose with the proper items. Again, thanks!

Just put a Gear tie around the wand. Idk if I like that soap dispenser the way the hose has to be removed every time you have to empty it. Purchasing a soap sprayer separate my be a upgrade to buy maybe.

Good review: 2 questions for you...have you thought about getting a PSI gauge so that way you can tell us if the mfg is over or underrating the PSI, or if the unloader is adjusted on the low side. For example I just purchased a 3400 PSI pump(low/medium grade unit) and they rated it as 3400 PSI in reality after maxing the unloader and having it on the correct sized motor it's more like 3000 PSI. Same with the GPM, since cleaning power is GMPxPSI if you had a bucket with a lid on it to avoid spillage then use the unit for a minute and take the average of different sized nozzles.
@WorkshopAddict
@WorkshopAddict 3 жыл бұрын
I did, and normally show the gpm calculation with the bucket. My filming of it was corrupted. I also have a pressure gage, but it does not fit on these style PWs.

It appears to have a generic motor and pump assembly which is disappointing. They’re notorious for failing (the pump more so than the motor) especially with hard mineralized water, it just builds up heavily on the cast aluminum.
@WorkshopAddict

Few of them last through well water or high mineral content use without a lot of pump saver use.

@@_P0tat07_ I assume they are connected to water or not cleaned out all the time. If they were disconnected from water and sprayed out with pump saver, the minerals would not build up.
