The trick for making a very small vacuum nozzle is clever, but has the risk of burning out your vacuum motor, which relies on the vacuumed air to cool itself. Should be fine for a minute or so, but don't run your vacuum a long time with the air restricted.

Very Informative, thanks. However, when soldering you need to make sure there is some solder already on the tip, then heat the wire a bit before applying the solder or it will just bead up as shown in the video. What was put over the broom so it would sweep better? On the hand-made knob for the drawer - you could just fill the small cap with slue and imbed the screw. When dry you are all set, or you could pop off the cap and save it for the next time you need to make a knob. You could even use colored glue to make knobs of different colors. Isn't melting plastic smelly and bad for your health if you breathe in the fumes? I'll use that circle hack the next time the shrink asks me to "draw a circle"!

Square or round toothpicks, not flat ones, work better than matchsticks for loose holes in wood because they're harder wood. You may need to use more pieces, but it won't strip out as easily as a soft matchstick. If you really want a tight fit, put several pieces in the hole and hit the ends with a hammer, to pack them in flush with the surface.
