It's a game with a lot of detail. And if you just blow past that detail it really is just a spreadsheet producing new numbers each week in game. So the detail adds the flavour to the story and brings us closer to the "journey" as viewers.

I've loved the F9 role ever since they buffed it in FM18. Another role i think is hugely underrated is the Half Back role for DM.

Definitely wouldn’t say you talked too much yesterday, or any episode really. Love the transfer episodes where you break down who you’ve bought/sold, why, your plans, your ambitions etc. especially with such a squad overhaul. More detail is always welcome, not just for transfers

I enjoyed yesterday's episode. I'm not sure that level of detail is needed on a super regular basis, but the situation you were in, where you were overhauling the entire squad in many respects, definitely called for a longer look at who you'd bought in, how you were hoping to use them, and what your long term thoughts were.

Maybe I'm in the minority but your analysis and breakdown is what I'm here for. The matches are background noise and amusement; you actually talking about the season, the game and your choices and tactics/transfers is where I pay attention.

I watch these videos as I play Football Manager. Mostly interested in everything around the matches rather than the matches themselves. Skip through most of the matches but watch all the transfer talk and club management aspects. So loved the video yesterday

The talking on the new transfers in Summer and January are fine. If then you are also bringing in extra to talk about tactics, again its expected. These longer wordy episodes work, and as the normal episodes are not, there isn't an issue. Keep up the good work, Jack

Its funny how the owners want you to go to both semi finals. Btw i love the talking about tactics and development and stuff more than a triple header or something. Games are fun but you love to see hard fought cup games against Premier League opposition.

Nothing wrong with squad analysis. I used to like that from DerFM and the FM blogging scene back in the day. And I think that's been something largely lost in the transition to pithy videos. I've always loved the False 9, when I can run it. It's a beautiful role in the match engine. I still have a soft spot for strikerless football done well. The only issue, imho, is that playing a False 9, you can't press from the goalkick, as your striker isn't in a position to get tight to the opposing defenders. So for me, I'll tell him to mark the DM or central DC in a 3, set the line of engagement to slightly higher, and run a more mid-block press. If I need to press high, I'll switch him to a more advanced role.

Just echoing the concensus that long in-depth talking videos, particularly at the start of the season, are great - especially with so many signings and demands from the board. I can tell that talking about staff bores you, but you are now at a club with world class facilities, I would find it helpful to know if you are upgrading the coaches too (or not), and seeing even with mediocre intakes if home-grown players can be developed. Maybe less of an issue with a moneybags club. A lot to fit into 20-30min I know, but you're a good talker, you condense detail well, and we can easily rewatch
