World building a Spacestation for my Star Wars Dark Universe.

Hi, my name is Aaron and I'm a none professional kitbasher who likes to make things out of old toys and model kits.
In this build, I kitbash a Spacestation called Noah for my Star Wars Dark Universe world.

Ground control to "MAJOR TOM", Were the iconic opening lines to the late great David Bowie's "Space Oddity" released on 11 July 1969! I have a reputation around these parts for being very creative when it comes to giving my tools names so my suggestion would be to name the rotary tool "Rotary Tool" or simply "a tool" I think people sometimes get me and my equipment mixed up as they often refer to me as a tool! 🤣 Great build and thanks for including my name on the screen again! I think "Gluttony" might be a nice name for the rotary tool. When you're grinding something down it will certainly be eating away at it, and it kind of goes with Anger. Unless, of course you plan on getting a new vacuum cleaner. That obviously earns the name by default.

Not going to do the 'Major Tom' thing. But it looks like the airbrush is really not happy. Few things to try: Thin the paint more or up the PSI. From my experience that helps a lot. Get a compressor and a 'Harder & Steenback Ultra'. Nice mid-range airbrush. Put on a 0.4mm nozzle and thin the pain with a bit of flow improver. And clean it properly after each use. Other than that, not gonna lie, the sprues made me go 'ruined it', but great work after all came together!

I would love to buy a proper airbrush but that cost money and I'm not making enough to buy one yet. But thank you for the tips. I've written them down for when I eventually am able to buy a new one. Keep scratching that build, thanks for watching

Major Tom, I dunno about a space station, looks more like an Ork tried to mate a hot air balloon with a Shield helicarrier! But hey your build, you call it what you like 👍 Talking of calling things, how about Jabba the Cut for the rotary tool? Or Oooops, as in ooops there goes my finger? :-D

I shall pop the suggestion into the hat. I hadn't thought of it being orkish until a few days after I'd completed it all and by then I'd spent enough time on it. Maybe this build needs a follow up conversion into a Ork ship?

Try warming the propellent can before use or switch to a compressor. Tamiya make a flexible making tape for making none strait lines. It a white plastic like tape as apposed to the yellow paper tape. BTW what is the tape holder you use?

Thanks for the tips. I'm not sure I bought it as a set with the masking tape from Amazon. It was around 7 euros I think.

Can you hear me Major Tom...? This one was really detailed, giving it some nice scale. Very cool. Love the tiny A-4 Skyhawks (i think) from the Carrier model. 😂 i did a diorama for a friend with a Space 1999 Eagle landed next to some of those clear domes you used. Mine were filled with trees and plants for the Moonbase folks. Youve inspired me to do something eith them again. Keep the dark universe stories and builds coming! Cheers!
