Master Duel is the future of competitive Yugioh. MD Worlds was much more interesting than TCG/OCG Worlds and is much easier to watch as an observer.

MD Worlds were way more interesting, because there was no Fiendsmith there yet and the format forced people to play non-Tier 0 strategies, so only one person could be on Snake-Eyes, one person on Yubel and the third had to pull something more interesting. Also, there are different time rules which I feel would benefit TCG and OCG, but would be kinda hard to implement (though chess timers do exist).

@@xerael4659that’s not the reason why it was more interesting, the format itself is much better and the 3v3 thing is soo much interesting and fun + the duel fields and replays were soo cool and very fun to watch unlike tcg and ocg where the bad lights made u barely even see the card in the board plz don’t try to argue that tcg and ocg worlds is better than Md cause that’s just soo d*mb

The MD worlds format itself is the biggest reason why it was the most entertaining. The 3 shared card rule among teams forces both creative and diverse deck building while reducing hand trap numbers significantly. In TCG there was only 3 truly competitive decks all with the same exact boring optimal builds.

The whole getting tired thing is super true. I was playing Snake Eyes fire king just to try and push from 19 to 20. Never got there. I was getting tired and I actually lost a game to Floo after I impermed their first summon. Stopped them dead in their tracks but they also had some stuff to stop me. I couldn't get enough bodies on the field to kill. I forgot about the field spell destroying a card. It would have triggered Garunix in grave which would have lead to a combo of getting those bodies I needed. So the next turn floo did floo things and tributed my cards and returned cards to the deck and I lost. Couldn't believe it.

Fatigues is rarely talked about but it's a huge factor especially in marathon/ladder type tournament like DC. I play like I'm straight out of gold rank during the week days after work cause I'm tired.

I lost many games from time out with my grass tear deck. the is just so many actions you need to do and after a couple hours of playing you just get slower and can't see the lines anymore and end up misplaying.

I feel like Runick Spright, and Spright decks in general are being slept on right now. Maxx C has always been a bit annoying, but Elf is legal, and Spright pushes through other hand traps like a champ, plus the deck is flexible. You can jam a respectable amount of your ownhand traps/breakers, OTK, grind, play Shifter if you think it'll hurt other decks more than yours... It's probably not the best of the best, but it feels solid right now IMO.

its just too limited by the banlist imo, two engines that have a lot of limited cards. its really good but its kind of inconsistent. i think it beats some on the list for sure tho.

The only real ergonomic chairs are ones that don’t have a back or internal balance like the qor 360. Just because a chair is swoopy and follows the curve or your spine doesn’t stop the muscles that hold your spine from atrophying if they’re supported by a chair all day.

Striker definitely seems out of place with these decks but I can assure you Jesse is spot on with it. Most meta decks don't interact well with striker's game plan and there is something that is so much more fun to me about breaking boards blind 2nd then performing the same combo every game which helps me stay engaged. I play TGLG tear as well and yea "graveyard go brrr" and "gamba fun" but you can only send kit to revive tear kash so many times before its boring so I always find myself going back to raye.

@@NeostormXLMAXthe issue with this argument is that tier 0 decks also get to play maxx c but alongside 20 other hand traps and a maxx c upon resolving ends your turn so what this means is that the already op decks now don’t care as much about going second since they can just end your turn. It enables some decks to compete but it’s mostly just backrow ones that don’t care about special summoning like floodgates. The card wouldn’t be as big of an issue if it said you can’t activate the cards you draw with its effect on that turn since it enables decks to just draw into more hand traps which op decks can run like 20 of

As a person who play Dark World, Harpie Lady and Lightsworn in this event I can say I agree on Lightsworn. Dark World High C in my opinion because there is a lot of options to fight back and can get hit by negates which makes it slow down a bit. Harpie Lady works quite ok some time, There is also a lot of option but 1-2 negate hit them hard on the other hand Harpie hand trap negate is nasty against most of the decks. Harpie D-Tier

Worlds format is not always representative for the deck power. In worlds: Mainly Branded was for the most part the off-deck, to counter the specific counters of the main deck. Leading to suboptimal builds for ladder/DC cup, like overly reliant on the lock and overly sided with non-optimal boardbreakers for normal meta matchups. My thoughts of optimal Branded build for DC cup: 60 cards with in the beginning 1 chaos nepthys (guardian chimera/borreload fusion dragon), 3 evenly, 1 drnm (thrust, grass etc.), branded king. Then depending how the meta evolves over the weekend you switch out specific cards for droplet and/or more drnm.

I have 3 accounts that capped duel cup, snake eye kashtira on main, runick snake eye and mathmech. Snake eye kashtira strikes the most fear into people, best win rate. Runick snake eye can deal with lots of problems the other two decks cant because of the banish mills. Mathmech is my favorite way to play, quick finish games but its weak if someone knows how to counter it , which maybe 50% of people do

Looking at people shuffling physical cards and playing through a screen is an unpleasant experience. Master duel should be used for all championship duels at this point. My only real problem with master duel is the ban list. It is totally random and actively punishes non-meta decks. Poplar at 3 but runick destruction is limited, flowerandeez limited, so many random cards limited and semi-limited, not allowed to be good

I main kings sarcophagus rn. Going into appo (got lucky while crafting and crafted a royal), Aleister side engine into invoked calliga (for nostalgia) and also ending on either hapi or baron. I get the baron through milling plaquespreader with either tour guide into dante, bc why not, or zombie vampire. I also play 3 of the horus trap, bc of the large horus engine. Edit: small danger engine, just for card advantage to go into appo

Vanquish needs more support from Konami, and the link 1 should have been usable as link material after the turn it's summoned, like spright elf or muckcracker. It's such a shame

Plant link can deck you out easily after maxxc resolved if you dont play/use handtrap properly (even with nib, they save princess negate for it). People didnt play that deck only because the combo is obnoxiously long

I been playing quite a few decks, plant I have an amazing win rate with but it is very draining to play and verrry long combos that risk the timer. I actually really like Thunder dragon due to pretty resilient to maxx c and can end on just a colossus and be ok. Raidraptor also has been good to me since some decks just can’t out 1 big unaffected monster. Everything has pros and cons so comfort of deck seems better to me than individual deck

So, i have 2 thoughts, i would like to ask you about since you seem pretty well versed in yugion. So my first statment would be, Monarchs. They are vary unexpected i find, and can be DEVESTATING to modern meta. While its not a sure fire win, i think it should rank at the vary least, a B rank, but yeah, thoughts are always appreciated. Now for the main reason. One deck i find people often forget or dont use and i really dont know why not...Is Eldlich..This deck, i have been climbing the ranks of MD and got to gold in a single day. And i know for a fact, i dont have it optimized because, i only have 1 card in my extra deck and thats the fusion of Eldlich. I will state now, i dont know alot of link monsters and stuff, modern staples are likely unknown. But the fact i could overcome most decks that i faced, was incredible. Yubel, i could beat, blue-eyes i could beat, dark magician, steller, there was vary little that seemed to get in my way. Now, i know one of the weaknesses is obviously, if the eldlich's are removed, and i cant get them back, then im done. However, i really find that if you are careful, you can completely lock down your opponents with this deck. But i wanted to ask you if you could offer any tips on how to make this deck more fine tuned. I could offer you a decklist if that will help, however, i will state, i just started playing a couple of weeks ago, so i dont have like 3 ash blossoms and alot of the deck staples. Im just not there yet. But, any advice you can give would be great. Thanks and love your content man.

VV was a struggle in the event you get bricked a lot, I paired it with drytron engine it got more consistent but u definitely lose to handtraps and of course max c , with drytron u can set a better field than pure VV but that's if you can survive the handtraps Mundo also loses to called by which is frustrating, I do not recommend the Deck. And rituals in general are not good rn

Voiceless Voice is way better than depicted here in this video, it has little choke points and you can make a pretty strong board. Also there are different variations of that deck that make it better and solve their weaknesses. VV/Branded is solid, the Dogmatik version is very good, the Libromancer version is surprisingly good and the Dark Magician version is a sleeper. Flowandereeze seems to be a sleeper right now, Swallows Cowrie helps the deck but the quick play Soul Exchange helps you to unbrick and is a huge win for this deck. Scareclaw deserves to be mentioned, it is a solid deck that not only brings you to Master fast but also always surprises the people how strong this deck can be.

I am surprised Floowandereeze isn't played more, the floodgates that cripple special summoning have zero effect on it. It is one of the reasons it can be hard to counter.

@@BladeEdge86 I would say a lot of people might think that this deck got way too many hits in Master Duel. Which is true, Floo in Master Duel is way weaker than in paper play. But with Swallows Cowrie and Soul Exchange, the deck got more tools to work with.

Unchained also pairs very well with Yubel, it is the most common hybrid I have seen with Yubel in Master Duel, though this in large part because Fiendsmith isn't in Master Duel yet.

Infernobles are kind of in the same situation as Plants. They're a bit better at breaking boards with their engine than plants and they still produce FTK boards through multiple disruptions.

Since when? Infernoble is ass playing into boards, it's primarily a go first deck. Unless you're playing the 60 card meme pile with the Mikanko cards and a billion warrior extenders, those will force out some interactions I guess.

So unless the boss monster has less defense than attack, why would we want monsters in defense mode as implied at: 9:32, it makes sense not to have monsters on the field at all to the "worse" yubel decks. (The ones that dont force a monster onto your side of the field.) Damage still happens at 0 to whatever defense the opponents monster has.

Damn, not even a mention for RaidRaptors. Idk why, but I've been doing -way- way better with RaidRaptors, than with most of the Decks in Tier D, and some of Tier C. And I -do- love my Sky Strikers. Being immune to Superpoly and Nib, being able to just -disable- Yubel with ultimate falcon, and wipe fields with rank up, push enemy atk to 0 and attack once each, having access to dark rebellion, and having a searchable negate trap, with slight recursion, aswell as plenty of dodge effects, especially with Cowrie. We don't usually care about Maxx C, unless we fear being imperm'd, which... yeah, I get it. It's by then a gamble if they drew into Ash/imperm into a key card.

Lightsworn need some serious new support cards. The costs to start combo are to high and can easily be interrupted. They need a cheap good combo starter like every other archetype has and they are good to go.

I think the common denominator between snake eyes and crystal beasts is the fact that the monsters become continuous spells in backrow.

Where is my VS Support Konami. To be fair the reason it struggle currently is because the top deck loves their card being destroyed, which is VS main source of interruption. Madlove bounce is also not a reliable source of interruption, considering it target both field

I don’t understand why dinosaurs are not meta. My friend is always playing them against me and Im having a very hard time. With miscelaneous he cant be handtrapped easily and he nearly always sets up a board with spright elf, the two dinosaur xyz which have like 4 negates + the dinosaur that flips all of my monster facedown… am I missing something why its not in here?

As an admitted and happy YugiBoomer. Im perfectly fine with swimming through the cup and getting all the gems with ease using Ancient Gears. No more for me tho. It was getting UGLY up there. No MaxxC. No Baron. No Imperm. No Ash. No called by. Just unga bunga big numbers. As it should be.
