Beautiful race. Such a tremendous effort by Tadese. Yes, Bekele is the king, but you have to respect Tadese’s heart. Fantastic athletes, both.

Poor Zersenay. He should definitely take a lot of pride from a race like that though, and there’s definitely no shame in losing to Bekele

Bekele's strategy: keep the leading one's pace, and outrun him in the last lap. Of course, to do it, you must be Bekele.
@RavishingSailor5 жыл бұрын
LOL, hence why its Bekele's strategy. Cant even imagine kicking a 53 last lap for a 10K

tadese wasn't the fastest, but in my opinion he ran with the most heart, that's why he's my all-time favorite. even to this day

I like how Tadese was smiling towards the end cause he was simply happy about the fact that he has come the closest he’s ever been to beating bekele throughout all their years of competing against each other.

Bekele was tired after 5000m heats 10000m heats and 5000m final, tadese tried to outrun him by making race as fast as possible good strategy but Bekele hung behind him and made himself clear in the mind to wait for the last lap.. Game over

yo mean kenenisa?
@inboundmoose23496 жыл бұрын
definitely kenenisa since he holds the record and basically never lost a 10000m race (only starting in 2011 after his injuries), but Tadese was probably the most relentless runner on the track. He consistently pushed the pace in track and cross country races, while sadly rarely achieving victory in his most heroic attempts. He wasn't the fastest but he always had the most heart and guts. I love Bekele but he was soft and lazy at times. Tadese never stopped pushing himself.
@hussienderesse79866 жыл бұрын
kennenisa is lazy because he has unparalleled finishng. tadesse was great but his problem was kennenisa bekele. if it wasnt for kennenisa, tadesse had won so many gold medals.

when you're shoulder to shoulder with Bekele with 400 mts to go-game over.Zersenay knew that;he knew it was futile to try to catch Bekele, so he just settled for silver.

Great, great race. Tadese was fantastic, but Bekele ruled. Like the announcer said a couple of times: they really should re-inforce a ruling about runners being lapped, to move out of the way. In those final rounds when the top guys are strategizing, and then sprinting, it's an accident waiting to happen.
@waterproof44033 жыл бұрын
I know right! If you're being lapped move out to the outside to make room!
