Aren't you all surprised and amazed of how good daniel king explains each game? The tone, the insights, concise, etc.

Thanks for the awesome analysis. Carlsen seems like the one who will break first due to his frustrations.

In this game I almost get the sense that they were playing just to get to the next rest day, so they could perhaps revisit their match strategies.

Somehow it is strange white cannot do much with the extra tempo in the reversed Sicilian.

Nice analysis, with possible variations. Good stuff as always, King. Like you said, going down to the wire...Interesting to see whether Caruana will press for a win and take some risks with the white pieces.

Hi Daniel, would it be possible (either during one of the rest days or after the championship) if you could cover the exciting MVL-Ding Liren game where Ding hadn’t lost the previous 100 games?

May have to wait till after the WCC match. Gotta remember that Daniel is also running the press conferences... WITH AN IRON FIST!!! 😂 So he kinda has his hands for with extra press obligations in addition keep this channel updated. So I'm sure he'll need some good rest, too.

I have a horrible feeling that this world championship is going to be a tale of 12 draws, the winner will probably be the first player to win a Blitz game. The two players are so equally matched, its going to be a very no risk and boring championship. If any player who is likely to win its probably Caruana, he has nothing to lose really. Carlsen has that fear of not only losing his crown but his number one ranking slot too. But its early days, lets hope it livens up a bit in later games.

Well, it is actually Caruana who should strive to create chances (= imbalances) in the classical games, since almost all experts seem to give Carlsen a huge edge in the rapid games.
@mister4721
@mister4721 5 жыл бұрын
@@fundhund62 Yer right, Caruana should try to win these classical games, because if it does come to the Rapid section or Blitz, then Carlsen should win, he's by far a better player in those events. BUT saying all that, the pressure will be huge on Carlsen not to slip up in the classical games. Because if he does, he could lose his title and his No.1 Ranking.
@fundhund62
@fundhund62 5 жыл бұрын
@@mister4721 I think that more pressure is on Caruana. He has to make something happen in the classical games, while Carlsen can pretty much wait and see. And quite frankly, if Caruana plays the remaining games in the same fashion like the first four, there is now way he could dream of winning this match!

Hey you, never covered, games of Legendary attacker, RASHID NZETMEDINOV. Who famously crushed Tal 4-0 and,was his second against world Championship with Botvinnik. I can't find any videos of yours. Please make videos on his games, 🙏.

Dear Daniel, thanks for all your efforts and thoughts, I always enjoy your style of making chess amazing to follow! I have one question though: Do the players meet in private after the game, at least do they get to know each other outside the game set up? They don't need to be friends, but as chess is played without personal interaction at this level, I am curious if they get into conversation at times.

No, the players don't socialise at all, but they have a respectful relationship when they meet at tournaments.

I feel the position after 15. b5 is inadequate for white because there is no minor piece such as a knight that could attack the lose c6 pawn.. had it been a knight instead of bishop, I have no doubt in my mind Magnus would have gone for that.

Is Magnus afraid of the Petroff or Caruana,s preparation in the Petroff.

Still avoiding the Petroff Defense i see. If Magnus can beat the Petroff the match will be practically over. 6...Bc5 I believe was thought bad due to 7 Nxe5 for a long time but suddenly is very popular.

Is Magnus going to come up with something splendid and new or is the Old Dog just up to his same ole' tricks? (Lay back with no tactical complications and press with draws until attacking in the tiebreaker(s) where he'll have an established (overwhelming?) advantage? Or by some shortcoming, Fabiano allows the match to fall into The Champ's lap? Is it worth the risk for Fabiano to press the attack and try to force a win before the tiebreaker(s)? Is he ready for it? Well, I dunno. I suppose we'll find out. (What? Do I look like some sort of fortuneteller or whatever?) 'Looks like a strategically colossal match. ♚
