Grazie per avere caricato questo video su World Cup 98 uno dei miei giochi preferiti sia su Pc che su Playstation. Ho passato tantissimo tempo giocandoci. Qualche anno fa, quando avevo più tempo ho aggiornato il database sia di World Cup 98 che di Fifa 98, utilizzando per fare questo alcuni siti che permettono di ricreare le caratteristiche dei giocatori da Pes 2006 a Pes 2011. Qualcuno potrebbe non capire a questo punto quindi mi spiego meglio. Il database di Fifa e World Cup 98, per quanto riguarda le caratteristiche tecniche dei giocatori è in molti casi fatto parecchio male e possiamo vedere ad esempio, difensori che non sapevano tirare o segnare pochissimi gol con "Shot Accuracy" molto alto come valore quindi lontano dalla realtà effettiva di quel giocatore privo quindi di realismo. E ci sono anche tanti altri esempi di errori di questo tipo(giocatori bravi a passare che avevano un valore relativo ai passaggi molto basso) ect. Attualmente gioco a Pes 2011 e ho creato tantissime squadre classiche e ho modificato le caratteristiche comuni ai tre giochi(Fifa, World Cup 98 e Pes 2011) utilizzando i valori tecnici presenti nei siti(quelli validi che ovviamente non citerò per non fare pubblicità occulta sono 4 forse 5) che creano giocatori classici validi per Pes 2011. E in questo modo si riesce ad avere un database aggiornato e molto realistico. E' necessario seguire alcuni accorgimenti e formule che elencherò di seguito per riuscire a fare un lavoro ottimale. Innanzitutto le caratteristiche tecniche presenti in Fifa 98 sono le seguenti(tra parentesi metto la caratteristica o le caratteristiche, che deve essere presa o devono essere prese dai siti di Pes). ACCELERATION(ACCELERATION);AGILITY(AGILITY); AWARENESS(MENTALITY); BALL CONTROLL(TECHNIQUE); CREATIVITY(sommiamo TECHNIQUE+AGGRESSION:2); FITNESS(sommiano MENTALITY+TEAM WORK: 2); HEADING(HEADER); PASSING(SHORT PASS ACCURACY+SHORT PASS SPEED+ LONG PASS ACCURACY+LONG PASS SPEED: 4); REACTION(RESPONSE); SHOT POWER(SHOT POWER); SHOT ACCURACY(SHOT ACCURACY); SPEED(TOP SPEED); TACKLE(BALANCE). Per quanto riguarda World Cup 98 le caratteristiche sono posizionate in modo diverso ma i valori da prendere sono gli stessi. Come si vede lo schema è molto semplice e basta fare dei semplici calcoli per ottenere e dare ai giocatori dei valori reali e molto precisi, perché si tratta di siti specializzati nella creazione di giocatori. Questo procedimento vale per qualsiasi giocatore presente nei siti di riferimento e che si voglia modificare o creare in Fifa o World Cup 98. Per fare tutto questo nel primo caso è necessario utilizzare un editor esterno, ossia Fed98. In alcuni casi, modificando il giocatore con l'editor esterno quando entriamo nel gioco, nel menù modifica, il giocatore presenta il saldo dei punti delle modifiche che si possono apportare in negativo. Questo perchè con l'editor interno si possono modificare le caratteristiche dei giocatori, solo per un certo numero preciso di punti, che viene scalato di volta in volta e se si supera tale soglia non si possono apportare modifiche e nel saldo modifica appaiono 0 punti disponibili e quindi non si possono più apportare cambiamenti numerici delle caratteristiche tecniche del giocatore. Per questo è molto utile avere l'editor Fed98 che consente di modificare liberamente i valori numerici senza limitazioni. E proprio per questo poi nel menù del giocatore, in alcuni casi(quando le modifiche apportate sono di parecchi valori)appare un saldo negativo dei punti di modifica in quanto si è superato ampiamente la soglia numerica disponibile. Per ovviare a questo inconveniente, mettere riconfigura questo giocatore e salvare: in questo modo il giocatore avrà comunque le caratteristiche che gli abbiamo dato con l'editor esterno. Dovendo in molti casi cambiare anche l'aspetto fisico del giocatore, anche questo presente modificabile con un semplice click nel Fed98, conviene farlo con l'editor esterno e nel caso di giocatore che presenta un saldo punti negativo, con l'opzione riconfigura questo giocatore, verranno applicate sia le modificazioni numeriche dei valori, sia le modifiche apportate all'aspetto fisico del giocatore. Per World Cup 98, non esiste un editor esterno(o almeno io non l'ho mai trovato, quindi se qualcuno sapesse della sua esistenza me lo faccia sapere), bisogna armarsi di pazienza e scrivere a mano i valori da sostituire poi in World Cup 98. Spero che quello che ho scritto possa servire a qualcuno nel caso decidesse di aggiornare il database dei due giochi di cui ho parlato. E mi scuso in anticipo per la lunga ma doverosa digressione su questo aspetto relativo alla modifica dei giocatori.

When I was young I remember doing the following: 1. Select team of all 99 skills. 2. Vs team with all 39 skills (think that was the lowest possible). 3. Start with 1 guy playing as the 39 team and get 4 red cards. Then use all subs. 4. Then turn off the ref and injure every single player in the 39 time. 5. Both switch to the 99 team and score as many goals as you can. We did 45 mins per half and won 238-0. Sadly the game score didnt allow anything past 99 so we won 38-0 instead :p

Yeah, it seems the default players were not the ones that finally played the competition. I think EA released this some month before the official list came out, and they had to guess the players that would finally play.

I never played 2 players mode on the same keyboard. I suppose that you can select it if you mode to right/left the controls when there is the keyboard selection.

As far as I know, the Fifa 98 RTWC gave us the chance of playing with a friend , one player using keyboard and the other player using the mouse, but this game, "Fifa World cup 1998" did'nt have that option. Unfortunately not. Neither on Windows 7. The earliest of the series I was able to made it run was FIFA 2000. For FIFA 99, World Cup 98, FIFA 98 - Road to World Cup you would need to make a retro PC ready with WinXP. Better with Win98SE or WinME, because with those you can play with FIFA 97 and FIFA 96 too. Some say that the mentioned old FIFA series run well, and withouth an issue on a Win 98 virtual workstation (VMWare or such installed to your Win7/10 machine), but I haven't tested it yet. If you have a strong, modern PC it is definitely worth a try.

Your question makes no sense and it FIFA 1998 was never better game than any PES. Even at that time PES was better game. ISS was called then. In this FIFA you didn't even had shooting power bar, all players could shoot the same with both legs, heading was garbage etc. ISS had all that much better even then.
