In my playthrough, as Mannfred though, since I was attacking and consolidating my faction in the beginning and also making sure to attack Empire minor electors that I managed to be allied with Karl Franz until I was strong enough to steamroll through :)

I really like this series. Everyone always does a mod, but I prefer to see vanilla. I hope to see a skaven campaign when this is done.

Vlad has his own advantages, he can just rush in as he's got siege attacker and a constant increase to exp for the armies.

If you're nice to manfred, you can confederate with him later. I managed to get him to confederate and give me 8k on turn 20!

I can’t imagine how much time it’ll take to reach ((moussilion?)) and the other vampire factions. It’s weird they even like the vampire counts, being so damn far away.

Is the option of being in vampire clans the best option? Is it possible to defeat an upgraded vampire clan if I play as some other community? your clan choice is pretty cool and advantageous actually.

I tried to put it on Ultra unit size but apparently it didn't work. Either way, I think the maps suit large unit size over ultra anyway.

There's no special action you need to take and as far as I know you don't need a DLC (you need a DLC for Helman and another one for isabella). I'm pretty sure he was added along with the von carsteins in the free update that added them (as their main lord) I don't know why you wouldn't be able to see him. You of course need to own Warhammer I in order to play any of the Vampire counts in Warhammer II and they're only available in mortal empires (but I assume this is self-evident and you wouldn't be able to play as mannfred if you didn't afaik).

You should have done Empire instead so you can put Empire Domination: Total War and everyone would have thought it was Empire: Total War. Missed opportunities.
