Smells amazing but unfortunately it falls flat about 6 hours into the wearing , not bad for most. I was hoping I’d get a full workday since I constantly work long shifts.

Recently got it and it last me around 7-8 hours but I heard the longevity gets better after macerating for a few months

This stuff smells like a hybrid of Aventus and BR540!!! the amount of BR540 in the mid and drydown was pretty shocking to me. Did you mention that in your review? My wife picked up on it as well

people said the same about Vetiver Gris, i get a candied sweetness in this but BR540 isn't what comes to mind immediately. then again I don't have much experience with BR540.

one thing i've noticed is it's much harder to go noseblind to this than modern Aventus, something people typically complain about. short story is Herault created 2010 Aventus he created this. everything inbetween became unbalanced and noseblinding is a particular issue due to removal/reduction of certain materials in the base overloading the top end. in particular the interaction between the special Aventus musk and the fruity-citrus notes.

thank you for the info! i saw about Mystery for Her on the MITH Facebook & it looks very interesting. especially if smells like Pineapple as Creeds's Aventus for Her was not perfumed by Herault nor included a pineapple note. the only thing is we need a way to purchase this brand in Europe as it was hard to source this bottle.

Great review, sounds like I would really enjoy this. I remember one year purchasing a very fresh batch of aventus and the top notes were super juicy and sweet. The pineapple was almost acidic and sharp but In an enjoyable and good way. I never found a batch like that ever again, it also had a slight vanilla smell to it. This mystery man sounds like it could be similar to that.

this very much reminds me of good Aventus (ie pre-2019) when it was fresh. it believe it will more stable over time and won't lose it's freshness like Aventus. and if you want more Aventus vibes (musk, woodyness) you mix a little Aventus with it for the best of both worlds.

@@MattyS54 yes I noticed that from 2019 onwards that was pretty much it for the good batches. I also purchased a 2018 batch that was very fruity to start off with then a year later turned extremely dark smelling. It lost nearly all of its top notes. On another note I've had bottles of amouage that got stronger a year later.

@@sonny180587 yup the last great batches i smelled were from 2018 but on testing them recently they've gone very dark. still fruity but not what i'd call fresh. Mystery is a blast of freshness & fizzy pineapple which makes sense as it's made for a market in a tropical climate...

@@MattyS54 Seems like each bottle is around 110$+ AUD and the shipping is also 100$+ AUD. I was willing to buy a bunch if the price was right, but unfortunately I can't justify that. Maybe some day an Aussie store will stock it and I can just settle for 1 bottle.

Hey, why are you Matty on KZbin but on the BaseNotes forum someone called WIlfred is claiming to be you and linked your video. So I get that this is supposed to be the next biggest thing even though there's hardly any coverage on Google which raises skepticism. They claim to have no pineapple in top notes on both Glindee and Fragantica even though you along with several smell the pineapple. Regardless, you should 100% make a video comparing this to aventus clones just so people can have a better frame of reference. On their website Glindee, it is 79$ for 60 ML & 109$/100 ML before tax/shipping. Give us an update on this fragrance

yes i'm wilfred (just an alias on basenotes) and have been posting on there re Aventus batches since 2015 but mainly between 2015-2018. i take a pretty dim view on Aventus clones as they're all pretty terrible so i when i say this is better than all of them (including supposedly good ones) i'm speaking with authority. as fun as it would be to trash them i'm only really interested in discussing the perfumes of JCH. see the other comments on basenotes from people who have smelled/bought it, Glin Dee also do a 10ml size and smaller samples if you want to give it a try. i actually sold my last bottle of 'vintage' Aventus since this video as I found I can get something better smelling when combining MFH w/ small amounts of early Aventus but that's another topic.

​@@MattyS54 Hi, thanks for the reply. i saw the 10ml, but for $27 i could easily buy another clone but mainly that the ml/$ is not worth it, i might as well buy a 60 or 100 ml lol. Someone recommended me Mith's MFH since I was looking for a fruity aventus without all that smoke/earthy/musk. Would you say this captures those qualities well? Basically the fruity pineapple/citrus aventus opening, if it stayed like that the whole time.

@@irritatingleaguememes7158 yes absolutely, this is exactly what this is and i agree with the people called this the true Aventus Cologne - basically the ultimate fruity batch. some said the base is like BR540 which i get as it's more of a candied sweetness but i think JCH was simply going for a fresher Aventus using new materials and this is the end result. makes sense when it's created for a tropical climate. just get the 100ml and be happy :) i refuse to call this a clone it's more of a flanker, moreso than Creed's Aventus Cologne & Absolu which JCH was not involved with and it shows.

​@@MattyS54 Wow! I'm glad to hear, i guess this is what i've been looking for. I' currently own Alt's Executive 26 and MB Explorer. I don't spray my skin though because it just instantly turns it musky. MB Explorer has this musk to it that stays even when I spray on clothes in the dry down, but i do appreciate its opening. Too much bergamot tho. I plan on wearing this on my gym clothes Does it turn musky if sprayed on skin?

@@irritatingleaguememes7158 it doesn't have the muskyness of Aventus or harsh amberwoods like in Explorer, it's much smoother & softer while still being present, kinda like a crystalline sweetness with a touch of ambroxan & woods. the comparisons to BR540 are fair in terms of the bases texture.

Would be better if you would compare it to clones you have and compare them side by side as this video looks one-sided. Plus vintage Aventus lovers want some birch tar which balances the fruit with some smoke.

@@AMGTT once people smell this it becomes obvious. i don't think clones belong in the discussion because as i said in the video this buries them. now vintage Aventus (the OG pre-2014 version) is a tricky one because while this doesn't smell smokey the clones/smellalikes are even further off the mark.
