I do actually dislike manastorms in CoA. Theres 21 whole new classes, nearly 50 different specs to play, and everybody is just Aura of experience + potion raiding manastorm. Open world is empty, there are almost no random low level dungeons, BG doesnt pop that much... I'd like a more vanilla experience on release with the new classes for some time, no heirlooms, no MS, no auras. And after a while, gradually introduce them.

I don't think Manastorms are really healthy for CoA and shouldn't come with release/any sort of big reset. They're fine for actual ascension, but I think CoA should focus more on open world content personally. Elune open world is dead as hell cause there's just no reason to do anything outside of Manastorms and I don't think that's what CoA should be. And speaking of Elune, Zanzibart - Elune.

i mean if they got rid of manastorms they would just dungeon spam to level just as fast. manastorms are nice for people who dont have much time to play or people who dont want to raid but still want to play idk thats just me i dont mind them but i rather run a dungeon =p

@McDoubles: I seriously hope things like heirlooms, manastorms, instance auto-ports, and pulling half the dungeon etc. are only there for alpha testing and won't be part of CoA eventually. Although the classes are absolute masterpieces, that will make or brake CoA for me :-| If I want the arcade-playstyle, I can play classless or retail. The awesome classes of CoA should be enjoyed in a "Classic/TBC+"-like environment.

Totally agree! When he pulled out the heirlooms I realized I will probably never play this game mode. What makes it worse is that it's a donation store item. I'm so sick of WoW private servers adding insane pay-for-convenience stuff to their donation stores and Ascension is the worst offender.

This. Mobs take a fuckton of damage it seems, it totally ruins imersion for me, it's like i'm playing diablo or sum, i don't even have to think about killing them.

Yeah, I really wish I knew about it before grabbing alpha. It is so mindless, and being given a mount right outside Northshire at level 7 is a huge gross for me. Between that and all the other subsystems they have, like Silas just being everywhere for whatever wildcard is, and everyone looking like a retail character and a FF character had a baby is absolutely disheartening, I would have otherwise really liked this. The classes are otherwise so fun to play, and I could have lived with things being a bit more on the OP side if it wasn't so far the other way, it really does feel like an arcade, hack'n'slash action mmorpg or something.

Really hope manastorms dont launch with COA, absolutely would kill any open world feel or progression. If it does launch it Needs to be a end game content only. I also think a short one or two quest chain to unlock them at max level would greatly help the immersion as well as only entering from the manastorm teleporter in the main cities Kine-Elune

@@christianpaulsen1078 first, you need to create a character on ascension normal server elune, then on the shop get the coa bundle for that character wich contains an item wich on use gives you acess to coa, hope this helps!

I logged on to my necro for the first time in months last night and was playing around for a bit and ran into something odd. I'm lv 24 after a dungeon and I have the Raise: Abomo as a spell but I never invested into the talent. Is this a bug from the previous build or is the talent abomo different from just the spell version?

As soon as you hit level cap, the aura is gone. You'll have to obtain the aura again on prestige.

I think manastorm is well designed in terms of power level, it gets really challenging at like 500 when the bwl bosses come, like chromagus etc, (I'm lvl 1440 myself). I know people that struggled at like lvl 50, people at 150, or 200, it just dedpends on the power level of the build, (talking about the elune server), so I think for Elune it is in the right spot, there is a challenge for everybody, and it is good that it is so easy in the start.
