Those who knew Andre, who followed him from the beggining will feel the pain for a while, but will end up realizing that we were privileged for knowing such a great musician, who touched each one of our hearts, for so long. He was such an inspiration for all of us, and most likely the one that made the power metal subgenre so well known in Brazil, and for that we shall be forever grateful. André was such a nice guy, always so thoughful and humble towards his fans. I was there in his last concert, just a week before the tragic day. He was so happy, so excited, singing beautifully as always and it saddens me to know that it was his final concert. I wish I could see him singing many more times, for many many years that were yet to come. But his legacy continues and us brazilians will always be proud to have had such an amazing, talented, generous musician, the one and only André Matos. Thanks for the reaction, you got a new subscriber. Cheers from Brazil.

André Matos, an incredible singer, a giant composer, a dynamic instrumentalist. The guy was one of the founders of the bands Viper, Angra and Shaman. It has left an incredible legacy for heavy metal and for Brazilian and world power metal.
