Today, we had the immense pleasure of speaking with the exceptionally talented Parthasarathi Desikan, a virtuoso who seamlessly blends his South Indian heritage with the rich traditions of Hindustani Classical Music in Bengal.
Despite being born to parents in non-musical professions, Parthasarathi's passion for music was kindled at a young age by his mother. His musical journey began under the nurturing guidance of Smt. Deepti Mukherjee, a dedicated disciple of the legendary Pandit Vinayakrao Patawardhan of the illustrious Gwalior Gharana.

Partha da is one of those people who has made a great impact in my life. I’ve had the opportunity to meet him back in 2012 and I remember sneaking into the practice room just to hear him sing. Apart from his singing, I was amazed at how humble a person of his stature could be. His words still ring in my heart - You have to be a good human to do good music. Because we people always compare with legends when their names are associated with them. I have heard of him singing rabindra sangeet and i never listen to that song from anyone else ,he sings in such a purity with perfect pronunciation. His excellency in hindustani classical music and bhajan are phonomenal .I hope in the future we will definitely get to listen to him more.

Allow me to reply to this..Pt Arun Bhaduri whom I fondly call Jethu will always remain to me as one most prolific Guru’s ..singer and one of the most decent persons I have seen in the music fraternity..If I have forgotten to mention his name,I have no hesitations in apologising ..I have nothing to do with musical politics.. Arun Jethu will forever remain as someone whom I have loved and respected all my life ..regards
