Dear Julie. I am so grateful to you. This is the third one I am coloring following you. I am so happy with the results. Without your guidance I could not have done it. I would like to show you but don’t know where I can post. You do it in such a way that is so easy to follow. Thanks again for sharing your art.

Hi Julie I'm in Ontario, Canada and really enjoy following along with your terrific videos. In many cases your pencils appear to be different colours than mine. I got the 150 Prisma set with the butterfly on the box a couple of years ago. I recently ordered the box online with the flowers on it like yours ... once from eBay.ca & once from Amazon.com. Both times they sent the Butterfly box ones. I think yours may have "Mexico" engraved on the colouring end? As examples, Lavender, Dark Purple, Marine Green & Green Ochre are very different from your colours, which I prefer. The Black Cherry, Raspberry & Grape have more pigment and are blacker. May I ask where you got your set (s)? Thanks, Cory Hadre

I always buy them on amazon.com ...

Thanks for the speedy reply, Julie. I emailed an American seller on eBay.ca to verify I would receive the box pictured with the flowers on it if I placed an order. He replied it was "a slightly older picture" and he should remove it. Apparently, lately all his 150 pencil orders have been coming with only the butterfly boxes. I thanked him for the info. Regardless, thank you for providing countless hours of pleasure to your followers. I've learned so much from you. Colouring is my personal therapy and pleasure to combat ever increasing anxiety. Best regards, Cory

Amazing! Did you use a fixative spray before laying down the soft pastel?
@Juliespassionforcoloring5 жыл бұрын
No nothing at all 😊
@crystalfranklin25835 жыл бұрын
If all of the page (except the background or wherever you want the pastel to go is colored in and you be sure to blend the pastels well, they dont tend to transfer and I think you would use the fixative after the picture is completed and dry if you use any wet media, like markers or gel pens, watercolors or acrylic paint.

Any idea why when i use a colorless blender than it gets all kinds of little dots? Did you do this on the paper in the book or reprint on different paper? Thanks1. Love your videos!
@Juliespassionforcoloring5 жыл бұрын
I always color in the book Never noticed dots... 😯
@crystalfranklin25835 жыл бұрын
You might want to try using lighter pressure. Prismas are very soft and very waxy and tend to leave wax bloom if you lay down too much pigment. Maybe practice holding your pencil with a loose grip or try holding it farther back for lighter pressure. I've noticed Julie seems to use very light layers but always manages to get beautiful results. Hope this helps.
