That old guy kicks ass. He may not be in his youthful shape, but his moves are beautiful. There's a certain something you gain after doing something 100,000 times, lol.

-The footage shown, is pretty much how it goes down. An elbow or a knee will indeed "Take you out". The Knee from the Clinch can deliver 35 psi or more of presssure.(That is enough to kill) The practitioner has trained for years to make their body as hard and as fast as possible. Someone without the discipline to actually spend years learning these skills will never understand how lethal the martial arts really are.

Nice vid, but do you know where I can find info on the Flamingo style? I am tall and lanky so distance is a good friend of mine; plus I have always had a love for good leg techniques. If you havent seen this style, I would highly suggest "The Legend of Drunken Master"...I think thats the correct title. It is the more recent Drunken Master movie starring Jackie Chan.

Nice video, i like mauy thai and JKD, but i cant see how that tai chi combat crap at the end would be effective in a street fight situation. The master wong guy has good flex ill give him that but his opponent looked like he was jumping away from him when he was doing those pushing moves n stuff.
@Fekupuzi17 жыл бұрын
Whoa. This is getting out of hand. I love how seriously you guys can debate the validity of any of the martial arts in the video, but the reason I wanted to check out wing-chun was that it was looked more eloquent than the others (I'm more interested in the ART than the MARTIAL).

@Rohan4basu all tai chi has a few joint locks. The problem with strictly using tai chi is only that you have to train it a decent deal longer to be able to use it in combat...but once you can...*shudders*

Wing Chun has extrensive ground tecniques. Someone well versed in Wing Chun would be able to defend with their back to the ground.

But i do agree with you Hedgehog that if he faced a fighter such as Muay Thai or boxer or something along those lines, he would do that well

This MMA vs. traditional argument is the same as style vs. style. It matters how you train. MMA fighters train to fight, unlike MANY traditional styles, so they will be more prepared for a fight situation. If the go against Kyokushin or Muay Thai or another art that trains to fight, they will get killed standing up. If it goes to grappling, maybe a jujitsu or judo practicioner would win. A throw on the street doesn't land you on canvas. The practicioner matters more than the style.

tai chi is not so apropriate for real combat.. just the grand masters can do it effectivelly, cause they uses a lots of energy and can hit an oponnent without touching him...they uses both energy(positive and negative) i dont advice to deal with, its dangerous anyway!! its amazing the max energy they can hit.. JKD and MT is more effecient on real combat... I particulary like very much of MT style, because im pratice too..but JKD is amazing too.

don't ask me wat belt or rank i am, because i don't know. I do a mix style Jeet kune do, Drunkenboxing, Muay Thai, Tae kwon do. in Jeet kune do arent really ranks or belts, in Drunkenboxing neither, cause i learned it from the father of a girlfriend of mine, he learned it in china, and in tae kwon do, i got like yellow belt and then i quitted cause i didnt like the training, but my kicks are good enough to pass as tae kwon do techniques, and muay thai, i learned it form my brother, i'm thai

all martial arts takes discipline,but not all are truly effective,In my opinion you need to learn how to fight standing up and how to fight on the ground.checkout how static the wing chun guy is,a quick double leg takedown and he'll be asking questions on how do I defend myself when I'm flat on my back.

@vladik8717 жыл бұрын
Bruce Lee and Ninjitsu? I don't know.... To does who still don't know or "get it", JKD is not a style or even a set of techniques that can be applied to any style. Jeet Kune Do was more of a philosophy and I will go as far as to say that it can be considered a way of life. Lee never wanted it to be considered a style since after a certain point in his life he stopped believing in styles.

@ATiRAGEPRO17 жыл бұрын
Why are you telling me that? lol
@Opalance17 жыл бұрын
No, it's really not like ninjitsu at all. I've watched Bruce Lee's videos, have his training manual and trained with ninjitsu practitioners, there's no more similarity there than any other martial art. Muay Thai, Wing Chun, and Tai Chi are three of the very biggest martial art styles in the world.
@perkinator12317 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing youve never studied wing chun? And no i don't buy into the bullshit, i never stated that someone versed in ground techniques in wing chun would beat someone who was well versed in ju jitsu. I did however simply say that wing chun has ground techniques and these techniques would enable someone to handle themeselves on the floor. These kind of arguements are boring anyway!

@ATiRAGEPRO17 жыл бұрын
I assume by Ninjutsu you mean Taijutsu. Not all forms of Taijutsu are even alike. JeetKuneDo isn't any more similar to Taijutsu then Hapkido. Jeet Kune Do is not even a style, it's a system you apply to any style you already know. And if you're saying that styles like WingChun and Taiji are stupid, then you are certainly talking out of your ass.

bruce lee: "i do not belive in styles" btw.. read bios of him and dont discuss in this senceless way
@Osirisrules17 жыл бұрын
lol, Bruce lee isn't the "God" of martial arts like most people think he is. Put him up against people who fight for a living in the American leagues on the higher levels and he get his but handed to him(aka beaten). If he ever went up against a skilled fighter such as "The Greek" he would get destroyed.
