Crete, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, whose history has contributed to the shaping of our world today. And Tenerife in the Atlantic Ocean, which many believe is the last remnant of the lost city.

A prediluvian found in Indonesia and another in Peru show the location of Atlantis and MU. MU extended from the above the Ryuku Islands to Easter Island on the southern tip and Atlantis is shown where Bimini island (and surrounding land islands = large land mass). Also shown is a land bridge to Antarctica which was shown to be ice free and above the South Pole in a location which now NW of South America.

Well, they ignore the most basic facts- At the time of Atlantis, the islands of Greece were High hills, and thus this alone disqualifies the Islands. This also indicates that the timeline (I.E. 10,000 BC) coincide with archeological evidence of the Mediterranean was about 400 feet lower. this is where the mistakes begin, because they search based off modern geography rather then ancient geograpghy. Gobeke tepe proves civilization existed 13,000 years ago. and yes, the richat structure is the most likely place for Atlantis.

If you want to find platos atlantis search the ocean around the country called sri lanka...because its named in ramayan as golden lanka..and ravan the Emperor of ancient lanka (known as the ruler of the three worlds) had hitech equipment and even had an air force with planes and spaceships which were powered by mercury. .according to legend and acient writings in sri lanka..and it is said that most parts of acient lanka is in the depth of the sea by now...so platos atlantis..and ramayans golden lanka has some kind of similarity. Just look at the undersea topography to the south of the Azores. You have the rectangular, "fertile plain" (used to supply food to the city) that matches Plato's dimensions almost perfectly. You have the wide ditch that surrounds that "fertile plain". You have the diagonal canals that cross that plain from the Northeast to the South west. Both features, also part of Plato's description! You have a square niche in the mountains, just to the south and east of that "fertile plain" that would "house" the ringed city of Atlantis...also perfectly. As Plato described, the entire sea, where Atlantis WAS, became a muddy surface. A muddy surface that would have covered all the distinguishable features of the civilization. Also, that area is at the joining point of 3 continental drift ridges. What an Ideal spot for a down swelling of that ground to occur due to continental shifts plus the possible explosion of that volcano just to the North on the island in the Azores... plus the possibility of inundation by a rising sea level water due to the Younger Dryas melting of the glaciers. The area is directly west of the Pillars of Hercules, just as Plato said. When you look at that undersea area on Google Earth you will say "YES....There it is! And it's In plain sight!" THAT is the area, parts of which are under 6,000 feet of water, that needs to be checked using ground penetrating LIDAR. And also in Plato's description: He indicated the Island of Atlantis was ruled by the eldest son of their sea god. But his brothers were given dominion on the many "islands" that surrounded the main island. That means that the Atlanteans could have established colonies as far west as South America and as far east as the coast of Africa and Spain and even Egypt.

You know what other island matches Plato's dimensions almost perfectly? Thera, before the explosion of the volcano was exactly how Plato describes Atlantis. Homocentric circles of land and seas interchanging, with a temple of Poseidon at the center. Also, ancient Greek refered to the Isthmus of Corinth as Pillars of Hercules as well and Thera's location matches considering that. Plato also says that houses on Atlantis were made out of red, black and white rocks. These rocks are volcanic rocks and, according to excavations, ancient houses discovered beneath modern day Santorini are made out of red, black and white volcanic rocks.

Just to bump what many have said: the Richat structure, also known as the eye of the sahara. It is approximately in the centre of Mauritania, not far from the south eastern corner border with Western sahara. Its measurements are exactly the same as atlantis, to the north is a ridge of mountains, water wells drilled at the centre are said to issue fresh water.

There’s one other area which has been studied superficially and that is the Doñana National Park in South West Corner of Spain, (beyond the pillars of Hercules) the entire area is covered with sea sediment and surrounded by mashes. There’s a theory that an ancient city is buried underneath the sediment.

It also has the mountain surrounding it. It also has the fresh spring in the center of the consentrric circles that are also visible.

The Antediluvian Signature. In my book using google earth, I show the main island of Atlantis-the bridge going north to the mountains spans approximately 14 miles, the ends are there but the middle is missing. There is a giant wall surrounding the entire island. There is an opening in the southern side that opens into a small bay. Traveling north we see portions of two temples, each 2 miles wide and 3 miles long. The island is known today as the Pedro Bank. Just south of Jamaica, The canal surrounding the great plain is about 50 stadia wide. Underwater Pyramids from the Azores to the Caribbean and more..

Atlantis is in the Atlantic Ocean. The Irish Druids and Egyptians and Ancient Aryans were descendants of Atlantis. At the end of the last ice age much of the ocean was ice, frozen at the poles of the world. This meant that water levels were 400m lower in those days. This would cause the Mid Atlantic ridge to rise out of the Ocean. The Mid Atlantic ridge IS Atlantis. I promise you that. I have studied it my entire life. It is in the Atlantic. I will travel with anyone on an expedition to find it, just inbox me. If anyone can help me pay for a boat, I will take you to Atlantis.

Actually Solon went to Egypt to ask them about the ancient history of the Greeks (!!!) because he knew that the Egyptians kept records of events. The priest revealed to Solon about a great war between the Greeks and the people of Atlantis as soon as Atlantis begun to expand and take advantage of the conquered people. A classic case of war through out the human history.... The Greeks were losing the war, due to the superior power of the Atlantis, and then the Gods decided to choose side. Athena helped them with the war while Zeus gave the final strike. The rest is history. Some things in this story are myths and some are true. The same as the Trojan war. It was a myth until Troy was found!

It may not have been an island at all. Only perceived to be an island by the construction of it's harbor, port, docks, walls, city. One theory places it by Cadiz, Spain, on the mainland. Now buried under thousands of years of silt, under a National Park. When there is an earthquake, volcanic eruption, which produces a tidal wave , it doesn't take much to "bury" a place.

Actually, Plato never called it a "continent." Some fans of Atlantis, did. But Plato only talked of 2 continents -- Eurasia + Africa, and an unnamed continent on the other side of the Atlantis island. And yes, Plato's description tells us that Atlantis was a large island, estimated from the geological evidence, to have been roughly the size of Greenland. FREE book, *_Atlantis: Evidence,_* tells of an Atlantis-like event occurring 9620.77 BC, right when Plato's Atlantis supposedly sank.

To me there are 3 major options for Atlantis and 2 lesser likely options, but nonetheless still valid: The Eye of the Sahara, Antarctica, the sunken continent of Mu (which sunk around the time that Atlantis was thought to have existed and now is only remained by Easter Island), and then the 2 lesser likely in my opinion are the Canary Islands and the Caribbean. I personally think it was Anarctica before it froze over, but any of the other 4 I could still see as possible. I'm not sold on the Santorini theory.
