Just wanted to tell you i came across your channel by chance cuz i follow a few other racers and am familar with Dannys career so i went back and watched a bunch of your vlogs and obviously subscribed! but i'm enjoying them alot and am now a fan! lol We have raced (asphalt) for many years also and i feel like i'm watching ourselves in many ways you wouldnt think that watching your wife make crock pots of crew food would make someone smile but thats what my wife has done every sat for alot of years ! my family has also raced since the 70's so its always almost been a way of life so Thanks for sharing i'll keep watching and Good Luck !! My hobby is traveling to dirt races on my motorcycle so looks like lincoln might be a good destination!

Do the Outlaws still do provisionals for local drivers that don't qualify? I'm curious how that works. Maybe not at Lincoln because they might not want to start too many cars on a 3/8 mile.

They do and they did at Lincoln. It’s all based off of current track points for the local teams. Highest in points not to qualify gets first shot at provisional.

Yes. the outlaws rule is if the track has 6 or more scheduled races then everyone can sell merchandise, otherwise only outlaws can sell merchandise. Doesn’t make much sense to me .

The local guys that support the track all year should still be able to sell merchandise at this event, leave have the parking spot for the day, which ain't right either, but at least leave them sell there shirts. I was a nascar fan for over 30 some years and gave up on that with there crap stage racing and stupid rules they make up as they g on. Now I support the small independent racers.

Hate the format to me its not racing and doesnt make for good racing...time trials shouldnt dictate the night but its seems to work that way most of the time, it sucks....and its pretty shitty the local guys cant sell their merch but the tracks and outlaws can. I agree 💯. There really should be some sort of an invert . Idk why they ever changed the format other than to appease the “top outlaw” teams that carry the corporate sponsorship. It’s frustrating. The merchandise is equally disappointing. I feel the track should step in but what do I know.

As a fan that been around my entire life and to know what you guys put into this, the money spent, the hrs in the shop, the sacrifice it flat out sucks to see. You know idk who needs to hear this but that tracks arent really that spectacular anymore without you guys there, and every year more and more just cant afford to keep up, not because they dont have the talent, but simply because the way sprint car racing has become. Hard to go backwards but somethings gotta give.

I wish the outlaws would run Lincoln more than the grove, Lincoln puts on a much better show and more cars show up, I think what 14 more cars was at Lincoln compared to the grove. I grew up at Lincoln and trail way back when the thunder cars ran used to go down with Jerry Bingaman when he raced.

thats bullshit you cant sell your merch while inlaws are in town i would band together and refuse to run because you locals are what keeps the lights on at that place i doubt the inlaws bring in that much revenue off one night to kep the track going if i was in PA i would get all the fans to leave when the outlaws come till they take care of the people that are the reason the place excist
