An excellent bout, one of the best seen on ITV between two well matched opponents. How ironic that wrestling was axed the very next year. If only we'd had more contests like this and less of Big Daddy.

I think I remember seeing a ‘real’ title fight on World of Sport where both fighters were clearly going for it and there was no pissing about. Does anyone else remember?

Hogan v Nagasaki? That would have been sweet

I have this fight on old vhs tape.i remember it like it was yesterday day and I saw them fight at the Fairfield halls in croydon.i have photos of that fight. Fantastic wrestles. The young wrestlers of today are not a patch on theses wrestlers.

Why does it jump from round 1 to round 3 with no noticeable break in continuity?

Was it always the same Japanese guy under the mask as Kendo? He looks rather pale-skinned here.

Of all the wrestlers from back in the day, nagasaki was the one who I felt was a genuinely nasty person. A very weird persona. The unmasking with the black contact lenses was genuinely disturbing.
@vordman5 жыл бұрын
You couldn't be more wrong. Kendo Nagasaki was/is an amazing man. He's just Peter Thornley these days and a fine raconteur, as his book launch on YT shows. He's also highly active In the Lee Rigby foundation. Oh, and I almost forgot, he was the best wrestler ever.
@getmetothegeek4066 Жыл бұрын
@@vordman I think it just shows that Kendo Nagasaki played his role to perfection. Don't forget that the wrestling industry will always need marks like "the womble".
