It's not bad I don't think, it's just balanced and we unfortunately aren't really used to that anymore in WoT. It has it's strengths and weaknesses, some of them more and some of them less obvious, depending on how experienced or knowledgeable your opponent is. That's exactly how it should be and how it always should've been in WoT, so I'm liking the look of this tank and how WG balanced all of it's characteristics.

@@paveantelic7876 Any tier 8 should be raped in a tier 10 match, you're cannon fodder at that point. It's any tier 8 prem that doesn't get raped, that's the issue, because it'll see tier 6 and stay just as powerful. A balanced tier 8 premium should be more like a tier 7.5.

@@johnsun11 And WG mostly ignores that, too. I believe you can agree that a full size AP round, when entering a tank, would do more damage than an APCR or APDS round fired from the same gun. But they do the same damage. Or that the B-C 12t's 75mm rounds do 170 damage, while the T-34-85, which had a considerable HE filler, does 180 damage. I don't know about you, but that doesn't seem very realistic to me.

If a premium tank is mediocre, especially at t8, it wouldn't be noticeable at either; especially when the gun low rolls like the t150s gun. Especially when there are so many competitive premiums to choose from. You might think "but skillzs" and its a totally valid point but people like profits.

I picked this up recently after you gave it an initial so/so review. It can flat out brawl if it’s hull down. I’ve played it a lot like a heavy (think T30) especially when down a heavy or evenly matched. It’s made a huge difference in battle outcomes because just that extra 2-4K dmg on heavies gives my team that slight edge. Overall I greatly enjoy this tank. I’ve bounced 3 standard rounds from an E100 in a battle with it.

it was literally the first tank I had in WOT. I trained my crew for 268.4 to five skill in it. QB got it totally right, it fights like a heavy and spots really well. But will be in a disaster if matched with skilled tier 10 opponents. BTW, it doesn't deal with autoloading mediums really well in close combat....

Finally! A premium tank done right. Underpowered, but still good enough to do the job, make decent credits, and do reasonable crew training. This is the way it should be. It's too bad WG screwed that business model all to hell though with other TDs like the SU-130 and Skorpion G. Picked it up for warbonds about few weeks ago. I have to say, exept E75 (my fav ever tonk) its the very best thing i ever played in this game. For myself personally, its better than skorpions and SU-130s. Its view range is just wonderfull, and reload time (for me about 9 sec) makes it a monstrous meat grinder. Even on tier 10 games it feels very nice. It is one of the few tanks in the game i actually enjoy playing and makes me feel satisfied with its performance. Also yes, i played both Scorpion G and SU130, and i dislike both. In my opinion they are both glorified paper gold containers. Killed many already with my T-103 ;)

I bought it as a meme on a 2nd account to grind referrals, and 132 games, 2 marks of excellence and 2.1k dpg later i love it. Should have got it on my main, but never did because ''its shit''. 8.6 s reload, 3100dpm more than su and skorp because they cant mount vents, 497m view range, the turret if you hide it properly will troll tier 10s. About the same speed as the AMBT. Very flexible. Can snipe if it has to, but can turn into a pseudo- support heavy on a flank. Also, makes more credits than any other premium. It's a hidden gem tbh, and it's also the cheapest tier 8 non lt prem. I genuinely thought i'll hate it, but i love it. It's so hideous too, how can you not?

For me this is the Premium replacement for the American T28 Prot. The 103 has better DPM w/ slightly higher Alpha & Pen; While the 103 Aim Time is slightly longer (2.02 vs my 1.93) the 103 Dispersion is better. BIG advantage is Speeds (40/12 for 103 vs 28/10 [ugh!] for Prot). Front Hull armor is better for Prot but I'll take the 103 for other metrics. As I already have my T28, I'll sell my Prot. and replace it with the 103. I believe this will be a good choice - especially as a Premium - for May's 'Frontline' episode.

@@fedeiametti6373 I disregard food outright, as a normal player you wont have a steady supply unless you pay up. And you sacrifice other things, which is a risk you have to be willing to take. Brothers in arms, while you CAN get it early, most players don't and have it maybe as a 3rd skill. In a free-to-play setting, your crews don't level as fast also, so chances are, most people are running on 2 skills.

Why does the T-103 magically have 62 more pen than the SU-100Y which uses the *same* gun? SU-100Y uses PB-46, which is a naval semi-AP round. If I had to guess the PB-46T stands for 'Tungsten' or 'Tralala magic' and thus gets more pen. Notes: In 2014 For The Record talked about the T-103. It was stated to have -5 gun depression, and would've been a tier 7 premium tank. For whatever reason WG decided to give it unhistorical gun depression, and apparently made up an AP round that gives it tier 10 pen.

If they put this thing at tier 7 as an HT but with the same gun and shell type stats (but a bit better reload) as the SU-100Y it would still be balanced. Probably even decent. Maybe 11.5-12.5 seconds reload with a rammer rather than 13.5 of the SU-100Y with a rammer.

I think I saw one of these the other day, unless there is something else similar. Despite the huge turret, I had hard time penning the turret front. I think an HE near the turret ring must have penned the top of the front deck. Other than that, a lot of bounces.
