While on active duty as a tanker, I had many conversations with my fellow tankers and other soldiers while waiting and waiting....About our tanks, APCs, etc. and the eternal damnation, sterility, terminal dandruff and incurable dog breath that we wished on the people serving on the "planning groups" who made the decisions about the various designs of our vehicles and other equipment. Even though my service post dates the era of the T110E4 "family" of vehicles I suspect that those who have come since feel much the same....Ask the people who will actually be using the vehicles/weapons/equipment and then implement their ideas....I mean, for goodness sake...They, the guys and gals with their "boots on the ground" are the ones who either are or will be using it/them....And they are the ones who really know what works and does not. Great video. Keep them coming!

T110E4 and T25/2 are actually slightly underpowered vehicles (but not so UP that they'd be feeders) however that makes them inconspicuous, which is why you get good games in them after all!

This is not the tank you can compare to other TD's. I like to play it as a heavy which seems to work with well due to my damage and kills I be getting in it. Or just be a distant sniper. Get top damage 90% of the time, and always get a kill in each match.

I'm astounded you could even get a video made on 9.0. I had to have my settings on low medium in 8.11 Now I'm on HIGH with the same amount of frames. They GPU support is better. BTW. I've got a Core 2 Quad. Your argument is anecdotal and thus invalid. The only thing really worse in 9.0 is that the game will sometimes crash and you won't be able to get back into that game. Not enough memory. Guess it's time to buy some RAM sucker.

I got my Ace mastery in the E4 yesterday and I was pretty pleased about that because as Jingles said, it is a difficult tank. It does not have the accuracy to succesfully engage distant enemies on a stable basis and on the other hand it has insufficient armour to get into slug fests at medium range. What I find that works for me is getting into preferably a town or behind hard cover and just let that gun work. Be patient and choose your shots and you'll easily rack up over 4K dmg on a regular basis. You need the repair skill on your crew because the tracks break alot and the repair is forever. Get safe stowage on the loader for ammoracks as they are quite common. Even though it has it's problems I quite like it.

I love chewing up T28 Prototypes slowly but surely, it's so fun to do in the STA-1, that tank is a monster in disguise with that Type 61's cannon.

My clan mate let me use his T110E4. Consistently for 30+ games in it I managed 4000 - 6000 damage. I find the distinct average points about this vehicle are what make it so good. No real downfall, and I used it as I would use the T30, or even the T28 Prototype. I stayed back, and made sure fire was focused off of myself. I find that the vehicle is only capable of filling a heavy tank role when needed, however, it is best sniping. At least, that's how I managed so much damage in those 30+ games I played.

T28 Prot... Depending if the MM is favourable (rare at 9.0) I go and claim myself one nice campy spot and obliterate enemy using the awesome armor (few tanks that you should be afraid even angled in mind) and it usually pays off...

The T110E4 was my first and only tier 10 vehicle. One thing I can say about the American turret TD line is that compared to other vehicle lines is that they are relatively weak in stats...this said now that I have played the entire line my game in other trees has improved significantly. Not that I have great stats but there has been improvement. the reason for this as you state several times in this video is that the guns for the most part (T25/2 and T110E4) force you to "AIM"!!! Thus you have to learn the strengths and weaknesses of your opponents. This line demands it or it sends you running in frustration. I specifically love my T110E4 and it has given me a challenging introduction to tier 10 battles. Initially, I got slaughtered in this thing but now that i got the feel for the T110E4 and tier 10 battles I am starting to pull ahead in this thing. I miss the T28 Prot. hands down its been my favorite TD but the T110E4 is starting to show its true nature as a versatile vehicle. Its strength is its unpredictability and the fact that it forces you to learn to be a good player. I know its not for everyone but I appreciate your objective review of the TD. I recommend to anyone who wants to learn to eba better play to go down this line first because it will make you better at everything else and you will appreciate the hard lesson of a fantastic TD line (American turreted TD's). Oh and to the audience; download tank inspector if you need help...its a valuable tool!

There have been many other occasions in which a tank that looks statistically poor on paper has inspired its driver to use it with great success. Another good example is the Chi-To and Chi-Ri from the Japanese line. I think the glaring drawbacks keep the driver mindful. Mindful drivers, even when using inferior equipment, tend to do better.

Oh another great tank review ! Really my favorite ones :) Although if you could talk a bit about the equipement you put on the tank it would be great cause I have often issues making my mind for equipment especially at tier 10 ^^ Is the reason why you use camo net instead of GLD to mitigate the bad natural camo of the tank ?

I would ditch the camo net in this one, since sniping isn't the best thing to do in it. Personally, I'd go with Enhanced Gun Laying Drive, Rammer and Vents. Maybe Spall Linen, if you want, although I generally don't use Spall Linen too much.

T110E4 was designed by WG, it's fictional IIRC. So the balance problems, if any, are entirely WG's fault. T110E3 on the other hand is similar to a real world blueprint.

I think the reason why you do well in the T25/2 and the T110E4 is because you know that your tank has no armor so you make sure to conserve it. You know your gun, on the T25/2 has little penetration so you know you have to aim for weak spots, making you shoot more accurately instead of just shooting when the reticle is not aimed yet. These two things add up, you hide yourself, pop out, aim for weak points and keep concealed and maintain your armor. Just a theory but I have the same results with my T25/2.

Having just unlocked the e4, Ive found the best use for it is a medium range support tank. For instance, I had a game on hidden village, I went up the middle, hid on the lower side of the hill, and picked off tanks attacking through the village. Unless facing end tier german heavies and tds, avoid brawling. You can snipe if you have to, but medium range support is the best way to play the e4. At least from my experience.

Just wiggle the turret, while the cheeks of the turret front are 203mm thick, the mantle is 250mm thick. The mantle will stop most rounds, when angled it will bounce pretty much anything, and the cheeks are 203mm thick. While at a flat angle it's pretty weak, it get stronger very very fast when it starts to get turned toward the side to face an opposing gun at an angle.

Hey Jingles, thx for the video. I think the t110e4 compares best to the E100: Gun characteristics (dpm, alpha, accuracy, dispersion + aimtime) are almost the same; however the e4 pays a grim price for the higher pen: e100 has better acceleration, turret traverse, gun depression and most important godlike armor.

You should have showed us the actual armor of E4 in Tank Inspector. Apart from machine gun turret weak spot the armor is very good, "cheeks" can be penetrated, but you need to hit very close to the gun mantle to penetrate, otherwise it'll bounce, gun mantle itself is impenetrable for most tier 10s. Hull armor is kind of T110E5'ish. For mid-range engagements the armor is more than adequate, also very good at face-hugging TD's and other low profile tanks that can't aim up at your hatch at close range.

Jingles(BohemianEagle), not sure how often you reply or even see these. But as always you hit the nail on the head. A mediocre tank is still a mediocre tank no matter what. HOWEVER, a mediocre tank driven by a good DRIVER makes all the difference! I am one of these players that(and I wont say I am an amazing driver) takes into account the strengths and weaknesses of a tank and drives it accordingly and has done VERY well in the E4. To the point that it is one of my favorite Tier X's and I own A LOT of 10's. I got this tier X when it first came out and still love it. I guess why some players tend to have better performance while driving those unspectacular vehicles is because they knew the weaknesses of the tank, and will try to avoid unnecessary contacts by paying more attention on their surroundings. Therefore they survive longer to put more holes into enemy tanks, resulting high performance. Another reason might because simply it is an unpopular tank that don't show up often on the battlefield, so whenever people see it they think twice to shoot, giving the opponent enough time to plant more effective shells on. Personal speculation:D

6:05 This is true, but if the FV215b(183) shoots HESH and has a rammer (as it normally does), it can get dpm close to 3500. Also, the infamous Jagdpanzer IV can get more dpm than the E4 if it mounts the 88 millimeter gun.

Yes it does sometimes but how often are you killed in one shot by it? The hesh ammo is very unreliable and all you really need to do to avoid being one shot in an E75 is angle your hull a little and don't point your turret face right at him. Chances are very high he will then only do some HE damage or even just bounce off.

I'm surprised Jingles didn't compare the E4 to the E-100. Despite the fact that the E-100 isn't a tank destroyer and that it doesn't get near as much pen on it's AP rounds, they are actually quite close in terms of performance... Except the the E-100 is almost better on all aspects. Better depression, better turret and side armor, a lot more HP, better upper frontal plate, better turret traverse speed that can also fully rotate, less chance of fire. Despite all this it still gets comparable mobility (the E4 might have better hp/ton but the E-100 has better track resistance !) and almost the same exact DPM. At what cost ? A slightly worse gun and less camo (but it's not like the E4 camo is anything to write a song about).

When you have tanks like the Foch 155, WT E-100, and Object 268, the E4 seems incredibly underpowered and it pretty much is. That's doesn't mean you can't have a good game in it, but that is the only tier X TD I've sold, bought to give it another chance, and re-sold again out of hatred. It's just very vanilla. That and the fact that it's been over-nerfed due to the power creep of the newer tier Xs.

I've only been playing WoT for about a month and a half and I have to say my go-to tank when I just want to have fun is the Matilda. It may be slow, but damned if I don't always have a good time driving that tank. Especially when people in scouts or medium tanks try taking shots at me. It's so adorable that they think they can damage me while I'm pumping penetrating shots into them every 2 seconds with that gun.

hey jingles, i have a question, what do you think about XVM. cause i have the same problem, you might face many times asswel in a sort of other kind of way. (you'r famous) i notice that when i am driving a tank where i have something like a 70% winratio on got ppl just pick my out even when there are 14 other tanks right around me... i just had a game in my su-122-44 tier 7 premium tank. and i was standing next to 3 wt auf pz-4.. tier 9 tank destroyer with no armor at all... and there was 3 arty's in play... yeah you feel it coming...we get spotted... and all 3 arty. fired on my... and i was sure the other where spotted aswell. ow and to make it even better. i only had 200 healt left where the rest where full hp... soo the could do full damage out of there shell.. i wish wargaming would remove the xvm mod , i just hate that irritating mod. i wonder what other people think about this. soo be free to comment on this, many thanks.

I wonder if you look at the T110E4 as a hybrid heavy tank/td instead of just a TD does it make it any better? I agree it is average, but comparing it to fixed gun TD's is not really fair, and comparing it to heavy tanks is not really fair. I think it is an amazing support vehicle and fully capable of bullying many tanks like a heavy tank could, but it doesn't really match any tier 10 TD or HT in those areas. It is relatively high alpha for a heavily armored turreted vehicle with high penetration.

Jingles, how exactly has the E4 been nerfed? I know they reduced the alpha from 850 to 750, but they did increase the RoF. Did they also nerf the armour at some point? I remember people telling me this tank was a beast, and I thought its armour was almost as good as the E3's (or at least comparable to the E5's).

But jingles you can angle T110E4 unlike any other tank destroyer, and it got better armor then any other turreted tank destroyers, so in a angle with sloping its armor is very good!

There's one tank I love and will never give away, And that is the Kv-2, I love it so much, I managed to hold of corners on my own because newbs (or people who never seen the kv-2) don't know the reload speed on it, and just the sheer joy of 1 hit killing tier 6 mediums, hellcats and even setting fire is2's with a single shot and doing 1000 damage, also kv2's love hunting down togs, and role play a bit :P

lol jingles 'Skip 09:14 for the violent bits.' xD Could you do a review of the VK 45.02 A and the VK 45.02 B? you've not really mentioned on how good that line is and the big differences between the two. and if it makes you happier I grinded up to that line AND IT WAS PAINFUL ( No gold used ) The VK 45.02 A is a Tier 8 German Heavy and VK 45.02 B is the Tier 9 version of it.

Seems like one of thoose tanks that works best in company with a well armored teammate to shield you, while you pump out the damage, perhaps an E-100 who know's what he's doing. I remember a tier 8 match in my KV-2. Found myself staring down the barrels of an American T-34 and a pair of Tiger's... I was sure to be dead, if it wasent for an IS-3 driver who heeded my call for help, and saved my arse. And while he was keeping the enemy guns pointed on him and bouncing them, I was able to pump out shell after shell. Best match I ever had in KV-2 with over 2000 XP. I've sent that replay to ya Jingles. No doubt its burried in thousends of other replays lol, but oh well. \o/

Boost the rate of fire slightly, buff front turret armor to 305mm and make mg turret no longer a weakpoint and instead make a small commander hatch weakpoint. Remove raised engine deck and give a traditional one and allow 360 degree turret traverse and give it -8 degrees of gun depression. If the characteristics above make it too powerful then reduce frontal hull armor to 203. Tank fixed.

***** What does you playing at one point where this tank was not around have to do with anything. Jingles is giving this tank way to much credit. The gun on this tank is not accurate enough to use the camo, ergo camo shit, gun shit.. If has incredibly bad armor, making brawling or pushing impossible ergo using the gun at low to med ranges is impossible Lets sum up: Gun bad, camo bad,armor bad That combined with it not have 360 turret traverse and its speed being meh, this tank is easily the worst tier 10 td in the game, and should be buffed significantly. The fact that it got hit not only by a nerf hammer back then, but also got hit by the alpha nerf just makes it a monstrousity. I wish i could get all my xp and credits back from this tank and get the e3 instead

Jingles, I think you should make an XVM mod pack like quickybaby, so its the one that you use in game. Cause I am having some real trouble finding a xvm mod like yours and I am a fail when it comes to customizing. Just a suggestion

One question: There are now a lot of rather similar tier 3-5 german tanks around. Panzer IIIA, Panzer III, Panzer III/IV, all Panzer IV-versions, the DW2 and its successor...they have of course their specialities, but they share a lot of things (boxy shape, similar guns, similar roles as they are mostly support tanks or heavy scouts). Can you imagine a review of this "class" of low-tier-tanks? Not because it's the tanks I mostly play, noooo... ;-)

I quite like the T110E4, had some high damage battles (8-9k). But I'm really thinking of selling it and going back to the T30. I can live with all the bad points of this TD......apart from one.........the worlds crappiest gun depression! Coming from the T30 to this was just a nightmare in that respect. One pebble under the tracks and the only things you'll be shooting are birds and planes lol

Jingles mentioned it over and over again, You should not take everything he says for sure, because Your experience might be completelly different. If You like the tech line, keep on grinding. Just analyze the stats and judge by yourself, if it meets your expectations ;)

I agree with Omikrep up there ^ I'm also grinding down this line (on the T28P atm). When I played the T25/2 I Had monster games in it even though (JUST like Jingles) I hate the tank because of it's poor pen and high tier games. I can only see me doing better in the T110E4 just because of the amazing pen and still having a turret. Having a Turret alone is a HUGE advantage than other TD's have which is the exact reason I went down this line. If you are interested check out my stats on the WoT website - Fimbulfolk25 Sure, I don't have a lot of games but I know how to play better than most average players purely based on research (weakpoints on tanks/how much to angle your tank in certain armored tanks) and tactics.

Keep in mind jingles misses shots from 25 meters away... On the side of an e100... Fully aimed.. Jingles seems to contradict himself a bit in this review when he talks about the gun. He also, (and he says this himself) suggests that you check other peoples reviews of the tank. I am sure some people can make this vehicle work much better than jingles :p no offence to him meant by this comment, just my observations.
