This guy had incredible luck. Derping a lot of shots, with practically no aiming/on the move(or both) and still managing to land them. I mean, the replay itself was funny to watch and spectacular, but it was the rng that won the game.

Well as most of those derp shots didn't get him spotted he might have managed even with them missing while they most likely were essential for him to win. Still when i see how the RNG works out atm i really think such streaks aren't really that rare. I often get 10 shots in a row which go to the outer reticle and then i got some 5 hitting stuff i shouldn't even have tried to hit in the first place as it should have been just a waste of ammo. They should really introduce a (better) entropy system. If they already have one in place i can't really measure it's effects.. I mean as if it was that hard to implement... on the other hand a working MM shouldn't be that much of a feat either when compared to other stuff but i guess people who can actually implement and maintain them cost too much money.

DiabloDBS yep, a new system would be great. The main problem (at least for me) is the RNG factor regarding penetration.. i mean, that +-25% is way too much. Also, the softstats of some "good on paper" guns are really spoilt

I actually have close to 0 problem with the ±25% rolls. For me it's just those long and stupid streaks of not hitting anywhere close to the center of the reticle. Still if they redo the whole RNG they will likely also change those ±roll windows as well. I just hope they really think about doing some kind of entropy system instead of just changing the values. I don't have a problem if one or two shots go stupidly towards the outer reticle. I have a problem with them if they keep that up for more. About softstats .. well some guns are balanced that way while others are just made unplayable by that. I for one don't get why so many stock guns are so superbly stupid. A lot of stock guns don't only have far worse pen and alpha but also worse accuracy / dispersion and worse aim time. And especially in the higher tiers that sucks hard. But i think they should at least show all of the stats that can be read out of the game files anyways as that would make for more transparency especially for new players who probably don't know about them and thus won't look them up on tanks.gg and such.

Well i think if someone had gone AFK and his cat had jumped the mouse to play with it, clicking the left mouse while wiggling the turret, it might have been not much less probably to oneshot an enemy, when compared to all those shots hitting. Anybody got a kill while on the toilet who had a cat? I just remember getting a TK when i let my 10 year old niece play the game.. and she had probably the same chances as the cat to hit something when looking at how much she moved the turret around aimlessly before firing.

Stealth Panzer sometimes I shoot a med or heavy with A HE shell with an arty, and it penetrates but does 511 instead of 900+

If you pen with a 900 av round you wont do 500 dmg you just didn't pen. The crew saying you penned them or hit them hard or sth like that does not mean you actually penned.

Well, you just need to compare it with premium T-34-3. T-34-3 has better DPM, accuracy, gun handling, turret armor AND also has preferental MM. And to be fair, T-44 was way better than T-34-2 even before buff so... T-34-2 is a sad tank.

The view range of the m4 is just ridiculously good at these tiers. He took distance, spotted and killed. The enemy were eager to kill him so they didn't prioritized capping.

the funny thing about the Sherman was, it was developed as a Infantry support Tank, it was never ment to see Tank Vs Tank combat. so its no surprise that when it met the Tiger that it was no match, but whats funny here is basically the Tiger was the m4a1s Abusive dad that drank too much and when the M4a1 Grew up (Sherman Jumbo) it came back and kicked the abusive fathers ass.

Tier 5 or 6 are pretty good credit makers in general... The costs for your ammo and repairs are still manageable.. I reckon to keep a few in your garage....They always come in handy when you need it the most

The most widely produced single tank design of WW2 is the Sherman, with 45.000 being produced. However, if you count the T-34-85 and T-34 as a single model (The T-34-85 was quite substantially changed) they are by far the most numerous tank desings of WW2, with 34.000 T-34 and 22.000 T-34-85 being built.

Me, I love the Sherman, favorite tank of all time. But sadly the Sherman isn’t what she used to be: everyone either has premium tanks or 9/10 times I’m stuck in tier 6-7 matches. Usually both. Every now and then you can have that perfect match, but now the Sherman is truly living up to its infamous real life history: while it’s perfect against small/light armored tanks, anything at tier 5 or higher will rip it apart. Oh well, I may not play in platoons (only way to play the Sherman now) but I still love it!

My M4 is the go to tank when I am having a bad day and just need to get things turned around. Vary hard to have a real bad game in one. So eventually you get a couple of wins in a row, then back to the current grind.

On wot console, they've added the m8 tier 4 medium for those who don't want to the m3 lee. It's basically the m8a1 tier 4 tank destroyer, just slightly different.

Only downside for this replay is that Our Hero is using the 105mm and spamming HE/HEAT. It's a stupidly capable derp cannon that turns the M4 from a good, solid tier 5 medium into what can only be called "part of the problem." I run the 76mm on mine, and *only* the 76mm. I will never stoop to derpgunning at any tier, let alone tier 5.

I remember a round in WOT where I was piloting a fully upgraded tiger and caught an M4 Sherman in an open field duel. He must have shot me 5-6 times with the shots bouncing of my frontal armor while trying to retreat as I took my time to line up my shot. I kinda felt bad for him just before I took him out.

Read "Death Traps" if you want to know how "amazing" this tank was. They were fast and many, but their armor was thin and had a pea shooter. Usually it took 5 Shermans to take down a GR tank

Petr Svitil No, don't use that book. It's not a reliable source about the M4 and the one who wrote that book is a mechanic who worked far from the front lines. The Sherman is the most survivable Tanks in the War by 1943-1945 once they added Wet Storage to prevent fires coming from the ammunition storage, not fuel and it has every spring Hatches for each crew position and the armor is ductile that doesn't spall like the Tiger-I, Tiger-II and the Panther, in which they spall a lot. How Tank Battles really works is about Tanks and Infantry vs Tanks and Infantry. However, An American Tank Platoon consisted of 5 Tanks and as for the German Tank Platoon, also five Tanks and Tanks never fought alone. The American Sherman has better kill-to-death ratio because the Germans expected to fight to fight the Western Allies like they did to the Soviets. But the Western Front is a different battlefield than the East. Western Allied Air superiority negated their actions by destroying their supply lines and the environment negated the range of the German Tanks from 1km to an average range 800 Yards. Their lack of situational awareness in Tank Battles was also present in German Tanks as they lack Traversing Periscopes and they cannot fire accurately on the move due to the lack of Gun Stabilizers.

On Console now we can skip the M3 Lee as they added HMC M8 as an alternative which can nearly use same gun as the M4 but the velocity is awful or can play it as an M8A1 Tank Destroyer which was my preferred choice. HMC M8 leads to the M4 and the T1 Heavy :)

I used to like the derp cannon, but more often than not it let me down and I went to the 76mm for the higher rate of fire and better accuracy and penetration. More often than not, I end up bottom tier in whatever I play, so the derp just wasn't cutting it anymore.

Well it was reliably knocked out by the far better German tanks. Only reason the Sherman got us through the war was the army of mechanics who worked 24 hours a day to reclaim and repair the massive number of Shermans that were being constantly wrecked by the Germans.

Normally i'd do an "actually Jingles" but that's the wrong channel, so i suppose this will suffice. However, fun fact the allies Produced only (and this is a big "only") 25,000 - 35,000 Sherman variants. I believe it is the T-54/55 that is one of the most mass produced tank lines with production numbers of 65,000 and up, depending on whose nation files you look into (be it U.S statistics or Russian/Soviet historical logs).
