I love this tank because I've actually seen it. I live in Melbourne, Australia and it is actually housed in the Vietnam War Museum here, as the Centurion Mark 5/1 was used by the Aussies in Vietnam, and RAAC means it was part of the Australian Army. Finally War Gaming is doing something historical. The model is surprisingly accurate. Loving it.

I would play any day of the week my Centurion series or my FV4202 over any russian premium (T44-100, T54-1st proto,...). I am talking about tier 8s here...about tier 10 reward tanks...meh...those thing are broken af.

Wrong. Compare this guy here to the T-54 proto, they are somewhat comparable since the proto was also build to rely on armor depending on mm. However the proto has not the pen nor the mobility to be good in flanking situations, also reducing its viability in t9 or t10 battles. But this? This dude here has it all. Funny to hear QB talk about PC getting a British tier 8 medium when the Atomic Tank and Huntsman (on Console) are both already available as Premium Centurion 1's with altered stats. Though the Huntsman has fugly camo applied to it in my opinion. The Atomic needs better blast scouring applied to its front hull, but it is at least based on a real tank. Console really needs those PC Centurion turret buffs.

You should definetely search for some mods over WGmods.net. They have a pretty good selection of remodels. I am currently in love with my FV4202/Chieftain Mk2 remodel. It does change the model of the turret only, turning it into a Chieftain Mk2 turret. LOVELY. And my awesome Centurion series now have the rear mounted turret full with stuff and the STRV81 is now a real Centurion I with a green camo. And there is full of stuff about zzzeee germans too. My Tiger, Tiger II, LOWE and E75 are now battle hardened vehicles with mudguards and whatnot missing, as if they have been in battle. You should definetely check the web.

ok ill tell u, i didnt like cent1 20pounder a barrel was hell on it. too slow to reload, too low alfa, too long to aim, but cent 7/1 is much better becouse of B barrel,.. but i still prefered 105 on it aslo my expereince is from from beggining of line, not sure how it was tweaked.

The Centurion 1 needs buffs to its mobility since it's armor is not good. Compare it to the Russian mediums tanks which have both armor and mobility. So what WG should do is buff the standard Centurion and leave this as it is so that we can have something to compete against those Russian medium tanks :/

Jonah Qi I think if that vision of FV4202 did make it out, the armour is slightly better. The upper hull both have around 200mm effective thickness but FV get some great slope. So a bit of angling will increase the thickness greatly. And of coz a much smaller lower plate. You got the gun handling part though. The only thing the current FV is better is the low profile which mean you can hull down a bit better.

Jonah Qi the buff version has 250mm turret on the flat, it's still not as good as this one. But they nerf it to 200mm because they think it's too strong. That's why I call WG a drunk.

You don't have to have a premium account to buy premium tanks. Free to play in this game means you're not paying for the XP and credit boost that a premium account gets. You're only getting the standard XP and credits.

when i started playing wot 7 years ago, premium tanks where avarage to below avarage.. now alsmost all premium tanks are stronger then there normal counterparts.. wg only cares about making money as fast as possible. and the game now is made only to fit this . i have spend about 1000 euro on this game but it just never is enough (most on just premium time) Gold ammo and premium op tanks made this game so bad...its only fun if you want to pay wg +/- 200 euro per month Sorry for my language.

I use number 5 for repair kit, not med.. simply because often the most important thing to repair are your tracks. If you're running a small repair kit, all you have to worry about is hitting 5 twice rather than hitting 4 then 5, and in the right order. :)

The model is a good representative of the Aussie cent which was highly nodded for Aussie conditions in country and considering we used then as our ONLY MBT until it was replaced by the Lepeoard AS1 (AS for Australian Standard) in the late 1970s it was kept relevant though considered obsolete and under gunned and under powered compared to US and Soviet tanks well before it was replaced. The final death knell for the Aussie Cent was when some engineers decided after seeing active service in Vietnam and some damages from that service the Cent was declared to be suffering from metal fatigue, however in tests conducted once the Leopard arrived it was discovered there was ni real problem with the metal of the Cents and they stood up quite well when targeted with the Leopards 105 MM gun and the various new rounds for it. This led to the whole Cent fleet , 2 complete Armored regiments plus spares, being kept on in service though in long term storage while discussions were had as to the possibility of major rebuild and mods to up gun and re engine the total Cent fleet. These mods included up gunning to the same 105 as on the leopard and complete power pack replacements to a similar or identical one to the Leopards as well as suspension changes also to similar to the Leopards. The idea being that we had only 75 Leopards where we had more like 200 Cents plus the specialist vehicles in both types ( recovery vehicles bridge layers etc) and this updating of the Cent would enable the Army reserve (like the UK territorials) to have 2 Tank Regiments but be trained on all the same or similar equipment that was in the Leopards and that way would enable the reserves to quickly fill in the Regular Tank Regiments under manned squadrons. After many years of different governments indecision it was finally decided in the 1990s to sell the Cents off in what ever condition they were currently in and due to a lack of intrest in places and people wanting to own one they were sold off for something like $10,000 each and given to almost any town or museum that wanted one as long as they collected it from the storage location, this took almost 10 years to completely dispose of the fleet. Yes I am ex Royal Australian Armored Corp (RAAC)

Depends on how you define "pay to win". Id certainly consider "pay to win" any tank that is for sale and is OP as it allows you to buy a very powerful, game changing tank due to being OP. A tank that is simply a little better than its rather meh tech tree counterpart does not in any way qualify as "pay to win" since its not a win/loss changing tank.

I think this is the atomic from the console version, it was a centurion that was used to test how well it would stand upto an atomic blast. All what happened was the front fenders were blown off and the engine was a bit damaged so after a scrub down and a new engine it went back into service. You guys need the chieftain at tier 10

Mr Icefire Not exactly, this Centurion is the standard if the Royal Australian Armoured Corps and all (if not most) looked like this during Vietnam. The Atomic was later updated to this standard. I also own the Atomic and would buy this in a heartbeat because it's Australian and I love Centurions.

I just assumed it was the atomic just how it looked while it was in Vietnam rather than just after test. I love them to, I was even able to get inside a functional one when I was a kid. I own the primo Victoria and the rest of the centurions need to be updated to its turret armour profile because it's just so much better. I'm sick of being in my 7/1 and getting the top of the turret penned by tier 8s. Thought about getting the huntsman and the atomic but I've got to many British premiums lol

I hate how the FV4202 has worse reload time, aim time and all that when it has less armour then the Centurions do... the FV4202, even though it is the most buffed tank in the game at this point, needs another... the gun should be on par with the other Centurions, because it isn't as fast, it has less armour... sure it is lower profile but that shouldn't matter when you pretty much have the same camo values as the Centurions. I am happy I didn't spend money on my FV4202, getting it when the Centurion Action X replaced it at tier 10, because I still wouln't get it, just because it feels like a downgrade, like it belongs at tier 7 or something like that. The Primo Victoria I also have, but the only thing I hate about it, is that it doesn't feel like a premium tank, as its profitability is very bad. 14k to repair a premium tank is god awful... along with the shell costs and average damege making you fire more shells to do decent damage... so bad...

Valkota I have no problem in the FV4202. It has tricky armor, sure it doesn’t have good armor like other Centurion but I can bounce a lot of shot, even tier 10 I can bounce, so it is not really bad. Aim time is ok, I still shoot from far, reload time is worst but I have to deal with it and play a different style not aggressive but support in distance

Seems like Wargaming has forgot that premium tanks are intended to be weaker than the tech tree counterparts, because they are mainly used to earn credits and train crew, not as the "main" tank. People would now simply swipe their credit card instead of grinding their ass because premium tanks are better. Premium tanks are fine if they are equal or slightly better than the tech tree counterparts, such as Cromwell vs Cromwell B and IS vs IS-2 Berlin. This is basically a Centurion I with better armor, mobility, and gun handling. That is definitely not "slightly" better than the tech tree counterparts, but not as bad as the Defender, Patriot, and Skorpion G.

When I first started playing this game, the rule was that premium tanks were not quite as good as fully upgraded tanks of the same tier. There was the odd hiccup (e.g. E25), but overall that worked well. I miss those days.

Totally agree, Premiums shouldn't be better than standard in every way, I remember when I started playing they used to say a Premium tank was better than a stock standard tank but balanced with a fully upgraded standard tank, usually with slightly different strengths n weaknesses. I was a much happier player back then but gave up when I felt I was constantly being forced to buy OP Premiums to get the best tank. Now I've started playing again, the game now looks amazing but I'm not getting the same joy or satisfaction and waiting for games sucks. Plus I liked Mods to make the game more convenient, not to cheat but I won't use them now in case I do something wrong unintentionally as I've heard some bad stories and who knows what's banned now or will be at some time. Forever changing out equipment is my biggest gripe.

I agree with QB, I hope they change something about this tank. It's better than the standard Centurion in every aspect, its gotta have some kinda draw back. I know they probably wont balance it seeing the way things are going with premium vehicles these days, but I can dream I guess. lol

Seems like it should be a tier 9 (a premium a bit less effective than the Cent 7/1), but then being at tier 9 could be a problem as well.

They put so much centurion variants and yet still no T8 premium british heavy tank. The T7 a45 is just a nightmare to use against the meta now too; a premium tank that is meant to make money, but to play properly needs to fire exclusively premium ammo cause of FUBAR matchmaking reasons

New premium will be better than current tanks, pretty much warshaming modus operandi. Not Russian though, so it will not brokenly op.

I bought it and I'm glad, really. In case if that vehicle would get a higher dpm and penetration it would harass T9 and 10 as well. But ofc WG would never do it. As they failed with E25. And it's gun stabilisation is quite good. Much better than Cent 1 and FV 4002. With damage per game around 1,5 to 2k brings enough of credits. Anyway, as I said I am glad that I bought it.

Xcelent vid scrubbybaby. This is wgs plan to move more into the p2w market. With3.5.7 which would be much better as 7.5.3 and bottom tiers and bottom guns always having to use prammo to pen top tiers.

I bought this tank a few days ago and bounced a T95 when it was looking down at me, thought that was pretty surprisingly. I dont know the map i was on even though it literally happened not long ago as im a new player to pc version but not WOT as i did play the blitz version and know a thing or to about this game and especially since i have been watching you (QB) for quite some time now.

As someone who played the panther 2, this really pisses me off. The whole point of the E 50 M line is ARMOR and a good gun.
