I certainly remember Type 59's differently from QB when they first came out. They were not "slow". People gleefully platooned and pack hunted with them using aggressive tactics. I know lots of players that just missed out on getting one that have been trying and waiting for years. WG knows exactly how in demand it is and thus the loot box lottery.

When you think about it, it is all incredibly backwards. Wargaming is buffing preferential mm tanks because they can't compete with normal tier 8 tanks, in the CURRENT state of mm. So... Instead of fixing the mm they start messing around with a whole bunch of tanks, instead of just solving the trash mm which is one of the main reasons people are not enjoying playing nearly as much atm. What? Do they really feed them huge vodka rations at WG?

Unless they will finally agree to let the mm go longer than 10sec to find a match for us it will never be fixed, how can they fix it? when there are so many tiers 8 and 10 they can't find so much tier 6-7 for all the 8's. It can be fixed for the RU servers as there are much more players, but for us on EU or NA no chance. It seems everyone forgot that about a year or so, they said they made a changes to the MM so there is a new type of Ultra Heavy Tanks. So you won't have one team with E5 and IS-7 vs 2 Type 5 or Type 5 and Maus. Does it work on EU? nope. Also I don't understand why people don't talk about 3 arties per team games, are you really all ok with that? if they start to work together, and that happens when you are a good player, than they focus you and GG you are dead. Especially today, when we have those stupid maps that are way too open. I agree with you, PMM tank in today's state of the meta do need the buff and some even need more than we got. 99% of the time they fight tier 9 and or only 8s, while 1% of the game are in the top. QuickyBaby is a great player, he will be good with most of the tanks no matter what, but not everyone like this. I've 57.8% win rate and 22k games if anyone wonders.

Everyone claims that it was but in fact only the game changed. The vehicle remained the same. WG could never nerf a vehicle that you bought for real money. It's like you buy a car, a house or something. And they come to you and they take something out of it. They can't do that. They can't nerf a premium vehicle that was for sale. Because of this the Type 59 was never nerfed. It's stats just remained the same while the game improved. If you can proove that it was nerfed, then you should sue them asap and you will receive tons of money. It's a bit more complicated but if you can proove that it was nerfed, then you really should sue them.

I owned the a Pershing and boy i was sitting in front of tier 9s and 10s and bouncing like super heavy, I am not joking. about the type 59, it was like the T54 in it's current state. Crucify me, but I really liked the lootboxes. I really didn't care about the tier 8 premiums that were hidden in them because... you know, tier 8 matchmaking. The awesome part was, that you could get far more than your money's worth in gold, maybe get some silly tier IV premiums, which aren't that bad for fun, you completed your holiday atmosphere, which meant a bunch of lady crew members and you got loads of premium days and other useful stuff... For me, they were worth it. I didn't get any t8 premium in them and I was not at all disappointed. (if anything, I was happy, because there was the T26E5 in them and I didn't want to get that one because it would just collect dust beside my Patriot.)

World of premium tanks. Every battle, at least a third of tanks are premiums. I miss this game in 2014. Tanks were unique, had their strengths and weaknesses. Nowadays most have huge alpha, stupidly op turrets. Premiums were equal or worse than normal tanks. Look at the is3. It was a beast back in the day. Now I barely see them on the battlefield. CDC was special. Now it's just a juicy target to farm. It's why the centurion 71 is my favorite tank ever. It requires skill for positioning, for aiming (no simple gold spam since main shell has the higher pen), and it's not invulnerable. It's a pity wot has fallen in quality like this.

I left the game since World of Warships was released. At least in the WOWS, you don't need premium ammo to do any damage on some targets and any ship can kill any ship. With all the changes, I don't dare coming back to WOT. I would have to restart from tier 1...

probably because you don't like the slower pace. The games last in average 20 minutes too. But there are as much skill needed as in WOT. Just watch a CC like Flamu and you can realize the depth of the game.

I think the 112 needed a buff if they weren't going to fix the MM. Same for the Pershing and Jagdtiger 8.8. Some of these tanks were just terrible to play in 75% of your games. Hell, the Jagdtiger 8.8 had one of the lowest win rates of any tier 8 tank in the game. As for some of these tanks being better than their counterparts, I feel that's a separate issue. A lot of regular tanks in the game really need to be buffed. Look at the IS-4 line, tier 7-10 has been massively powercreeped. Many lines are like this right now.

The worst thing is, that if they rebalanced those lines like the IS-4 line, people that previously didn't bother with them, would give them a shot. That would lead to more grind and more premium account time needed in return. (I think that having something like premium time in free to play game is completely justifiable and don't have a problem with tier 7 up bleeding credits with every non-spectacular game). So rebalancing the lines would bring something interesting to the game, plus make money. Win win... Also it would add more flavour to the matches. Instead of seeing the same tanks over and over again. But no, cyka, Ivan, let's resell E-25 and have a vodka.

@Duckman1616 - actually all T26E4 needed was slight armor buff and mobility buff. They increased it's penetration to the point Panther 8.8 (which was bad already) is now obsolete. T26E4 has similar penetration on regular rounds, better penetration on gold rounds and way better frontal armor - all while retaining preferential matchmaking. Same with Type 59 - it's basically PMM equivalent of T54 mod 1 and T-44-100 with similar overall performance but Type doesn't meet tier 10 like T-54 first prototype and T-44-100 :/ By "fixing" PMM tanks the way they did... they actually broke some tier 8 premiums with normal mm.

The problem I found with great wall was that the north east flank was basically too far away (and took too long to get through) to be very useful and the south east spawned team had a huge advantage will that little helevated spot on the south west flank where they could go hull down above the northern spawn team which made it very difficult for the north team

In your hands, the type 59 looks brutal. In my hands.... I just don't know. As someone who isn't the world's greatest player, I've found the T-34-3 to be a lot less than "The Poor Man's Type-59" playing it is frustrating and boring when realize, again, that waiting for a reload is like waiting through a long, tedious sermon. It feels buffed, but not buffed enough. My experience with the FCM 50t has been mixed. I've been playing its armorless self the way you play a Tiger 1, as an armor-free heavy tank, sniping from a distance and I've noticed that in matches where it works, it *really* works. I'm very excited about it, as I am about the Super Pershing that I've actually enjoyed playing since the buff-wave arrived. I don't know. I think I might have games where I felt dirty after playing the Type-59 if I had one, but I'd get over it in a hurry. Let's see if they repeat the loot-crate experiments. I'll save up for month.

Up close and personal. You've already taken a couple of hits, but you're ready to do some damage. You poke, Aim for three seconds. You hit! You've taken off a third of his health. You're a fucking hero. Unfortunately, so is he. He knows your reload. He rushes you, you and your empty gun back up. He shoots you in the lower plate. You try to angle while backing up. He shots you again. Your gun is still empty. He shoots you again. You continue to back up, but your gun finally loads. Your aiming circle is bigger than his whole take even at this distance but you have to do something. You shoot hoping for an upper glacis hit. It bounces off his turret. He shoots you again. Arty kill-steals and sends you to the garage... Scenario 4... If the T-34-3 had the M4 Rev's gun and gun handling, or even a decent shell velocity, Id' never stop playing it. As things are now, the buffs aren't enough.

the t 34 3 is one of my favourite tanks u have a great gun which can pen nearly anything if well aimed , if u find a tough tank just flank it or if u have to use gold the reload ia not that bad ooo and u can bounce tier 9 guns by sidescraping, and now u can even hull down super well. its a good tank overall. and quite strong sometimes

But the M4 Rev is a) a non-preferential MM premium; b) made out of wet tissue, and c) taller than a house. If you think you'd get it's gun handling, you're just asking for the T-34-3 to be outright better than this tank. Which, IMO, is pretty balanced right now. You would be exacerbating the problem that is T8 Pref Premiums are almost better than the regular tanks, which it isn't supposed to be.

Everything you say is true, but it needs something. The T-34-3 is like an unfinished painting or like a song that just cuts off in mid-note at an arbitrary location. It can be played, but there is no reason to play it, it isn't a good experience. There's nothing exciting about playing it. As it is, the gun is garbage. Yes, sticking the M4 rev's gun on it would make it a bit much, but as it is now, it's got basically the same gun as you find on the SU-122-44 and does a thousand less DPM and it's just so damned boring. Maybe not the M4's gun, but just its shell velocity without an accuracy buff and a little more standard shell pen-maybe anything that will make it less of a boring piece of crap that involves waiting eleven seconds to lob baseballs at tanks that laugh them off.

To be honest, I haven’t really been playing WoT recently because I think that as wargaming adds more and more tanks / new tech tree into the game, the game is becoming more and more unbalanced. Those new tanks are having higher and higher DPM/DPS, better armour, better pen, less visible weak points. But here I drive those old tanks, I just find them to be less and less competitive, even for the good old T62A.

Empires Border (Great Wall on console) Was on console for about a year, then they removed it along with a lot of other maps due to some 50Gb memory limit available to free games on consoles( memory extended now) so maps have slowly been re added including this map now.

At this point they are really just trying to kill off their game, whilst trying to grab as much money from it before it dies. Everything from the super heavy meta, weakspot removals, being forced to play 3-5-7... You're talking about them not being able to fix the MM, how about making it so that the MM prioritizes 5-10 MM, then same tier, and then if you are in the qeue for too long, then you get 3-5-7 as a last resort. Oh but that way, less "gold ammo" will be fired and it won't fill their pockets with money, will it now. I've stopped playing this game for about a year now, I've racked up about 30k games give or take, I've partaken in multiple campaigns to get some of the tier 8 premiums such as the IS-6, WZ-111 and T26E4, and honestly I've never regretted anything more. I like to be really competetive as well, and the whole RNG on accuracy, penetration and damage makes the game a laughing stock when it comes to Esports, which as well is literally asking of you to use "gold ammo", because it's more reliable than regular shells, and other than sticking to some arbitrary code about not shooting it because you will be seen as a skilless noob, there is really no reason to not shoot it. Yes you have situations where you are shooting at the side armor of a tank and you might hit his tracks with HEAT, but half the time it still goes through if aimed at the right spot. All in all I'm completely done with this game, since it has nothing to offer me anymore. Just a darn money grab at this point.

You do realize that you still have the ability to do it right? They've just side stepped the issue. And you saying "Oh learn to aim noob" doesn't really stop the "5% PREMIUM ammo" spam in the game now does it. Good luck finding weakspots on a type 5 heavy, or whilst your're playing in a Cromwell against an O-HO, or a Defender God forbid whilst not shooting "gold rounds". Especially for free to play players, since they are the main audience which are being killed off. They don't give a rats arse for someone who is adding to the queue, just the people who are paying them.

Fair enough, but good luck doing that in this game since most of the maps are bloody corridors. Maybe you could do that on Prokhorovka or Malinova... But on most maps you're just completely outclassed. If you put players of around the same skill in an O-HO and a Cromwell, he needs 1-2 shots to kill you, you need to shot him 12-13 times if you don't bounce. Even if you flank, him he just turns around and dumbbells you, in this instance. The power levels are insanely different, and in the hands of a competent player you're pretty much next to useless. I'm fine with "gold rounds" being thrown around, but just change the God awful match making so that at least you're seeing +1 most of the time. Relying on your top tiers is at it's very best a gamble, and making the huge gap in the power levels smaller, in this case tier 6 vs tier 8, would be a start.

QB; that map was called "Great Wall" on the PS4, and I have no idea why they removed it. It played pretty well. I can only assume they removed it for the same reason they pulled out all the other maps that had large elevation differences in parts of the map, like Northwest and others.

I think comparing the chinese smm premium tanks to the T-34-2 isn't exactly a representative comparison of the actual game since the T-34-2 was pure garbage from it's release on. If you compare only non premium tanks the T-34-2 doesn't hold a candle to the very similar T-44 (and other tier 8 mediums). If you compare the type 59 or T-34-3 to an average tier 8 med instead of a negative outlier like the T-34-2 they are exactly as they should be after the recent buff, slightly worse or equal at best to standard tier 8 tanks.

They brought your new map back to console. It's called "Great Wall" on console. We mainly have Assult and standard. Assult had the base in the town not the center choke point. Spans are NW and SE for both modes.

QB, Empire's Border was only pulled from console for reducing the install package for consoles. They were limited to 50 GB. Those limits have been removed. Empire's Border is back again as Great Wall.

Emperors border was on console a while ago but under a different name. The map works okay but I note that the flag location in this game is different to console. It did disappear for a while but had returned in the last couple of weeks so there's a bunch of players that've never seen it and a few that know it well.

Its nice that they buff the Type 59 after all the nerf it had, I am glad its been buffed, to the normal player it be good, but after playing this game for 7 years as of the 15/10/18 i called it quits. The MM is just so bad, the gold rounds, the op tanks and the very bad players dont make this game fun anymore. This tank did need a buff it was too slow, with slow aim time and crap pen. With the new map well its the normal Wargaming crap of 3 lane play, like so many other maps. Lol matcher maker can be fixed easy +1 -1 sorted. This is why this game is dead, the sooner people stop spending money on this game the sooner Wargaming may get there head out of their ass

I agree, but no other premium tank ever had nerfs like the Type 59. Most of these tanks had bad pen, but the pref mm was so much kinder than it is now. Sorry to go on but 1 year ago you would have 150k players on in the evening on EU servers I told now most nights its not even 100k. Lots of my WOT friends have stopped playing due to how bad the MM is. It still feels like Wargaming dont care its just pump out as many premium tanks as possible. Its all about making money now they really dont care, these changes are not what the players wanted they hide behind we can change the MM, err yes you can it not hard a +1 -1 would work and players would feel like they had a chance, these days top tier at T8 lol once how often??? They have still not had full answering the questions or suggestions by the EU CC like Jingles, Quickybaby went to Cyprus over 2 years ago. Maps are still 3 lanes with op tanks hard to kill from the front, like the Type 5 that is a pay to win tank with its premium HE. The list just goes on and on. I would love to come back but while there is no change to MM and they dont bring T8 frontline back I doubt I be back.

XBOX 1 Player here (i'm a peasant who also has a gaming PC), but anyhow, Great Wall as we call it was on console for about a year or 2, then it along with alot of the more OG maps were removed, however, this year they are being slowly reintegrated, Great Wall was actually just re-introduced this week. To further explain why the OG maps were removed it's due to World Of Tanks being a free game and Microsoft having a very tight grip on the amount of storage free games can possess so our map rotation is pretty small (and wargaming console wanted to introduce new maps that PC doesn't have so the old maps were slowly cut out), however, we also have maps in rotation that PC only has on competitive such as Ghost Town and what not. Now every few months or so old maps are brought back into rotation and the new ones are put away to keep things fresh, I rather like way Console handles the map rotations.

But the point is has the advantage in the match making. I play t-44 and frustrating because of the match making. 9 out of 10 match i have joined, always met tier 10. Have you ever been in the bottom tier for too long that you can’t effort yourself to uninstall the game. A free to play player can do much in a tier 10 matchup, you can’t even pen them, you have suck turrets. I myself a free to play player can’t use premium shell it just cost too much. This is how wargaming lost their costumer, i have already uninstalled, will come back if i hear a light of new about their match making preferences

CaptainRinoXD now that’s the issue for every tier 8 tank except those preferential premiums. As they limit the number of higher tier tanks in a game, regular tanks have to give space for those premiums. So they are kept filling into tier 10 games. I play T69 a lot but it’s 181 pen is very struggling against the tier 10.

Chinese map was on console, called Great Wall. Removed a while back (they didn't really say why) but just been brought back in the last week or so. Don't remember there being an assault mode. Standard battle had spawns at North-West and South-East which was better, still a bit of choke point map but at least one team didn't have too much advantage in standard battle.

I have not spent too much money on WoT, now and again I spend 10 bucks for gold so I can convert free XP. Sadly, ever since the 1.0 release that was supposed to be amazing, I feel like I want to leave the game: the investment in time and a little bit of money is the only thing keeping me in. The match-making is terrible, more than half my games it's one of those extremely lop-sided affairs where half the team melts within one minute. I have been playing since 2 months after this game was even available for EU players, so I do believe I have enough games to notice differences throught the releases. Then the tanks, dear God this game was never balanced but now it's worse than ever: as an early mostly f2p player all my tanks that I was looking forward too so many years ago are basically trash on tracks. All these new tech-tree additions and also some premium tanks have added to a power creep that I doubt I will ever see again. Wargaming have done nothing but make the gameplay make people suffer unless they spent VAST amounts of money to be able to free XP tanks so you get the new power-creep vehicles, to get crew XP up asap, to get as many consumables as possible because damn my crew and modules are taken out at a higher rate than before. Hell all these arty "improvements" seem to have the same effect to make you want to spend money for consumables since holy shit that splash damage is a bitch. The shitty part is: they could have played it smart and made a well balanced game and had affordable consumables, cosmetics and free XP purchases in game. More players would have been happy. Now it's turning into a game where if you are not a dedicated player that spends ridiculous amounts of money on the game (a "whale" as they are called in the industry) you will be severly hindered in your ability to have a good game. I mean seriously: most players will gladly pay a few bucks for the stuff I mentioned before consistently. Charging well over full price game money for ONE premium??? Same amount of money and more to be able to unlock a new power-creeped tier 8+ with free XP instead of a 2 year grind??? I blame Wargaming for all of this, but I sure do "thank" all you asshole WoT players that enable them with this shitty business model. You know what, after writing all this... fuck it, time to uninstall the game. It's been an "interesting" 7 years but I think I finally learned my lesson: FUCK f2p games.

All online games are going this way, not just the f2p ones. And in overwatch the same powercreep meta is doing the same as in wot. There is a bubble brewing in the gaming industry. Kind of what happened in the early 80's. There is so much crap going on with buggy releases, insane monetisation with dlc, 100 dollar season passes and devs and publishers cashing in on rehashed franchises pushing pre-orders etc. All pushing to milk players as much as they can. The bubble will burst when at a certain point the industry pushes it beyond what the players are able to put up with and the consumer is done with conventional gaming. A lot of great giants will fall and gaming will go trough a few dark years again. Publishers are eating eachother, at the hardware side similar things are happening with stupid prices for gaming cards and memory now. This really has to blow at a certain point. And it will be a huge explosion.

@@Biker_Gremling wot used to be better managed as well. It is no guarantee. But like i said, every single online mmo, and especially the f2p ones, go trough the same cycle. These games are run by corperations that simply need to grow their profit every single quarter after quarter after quarter. When a company no longer is able to do so it will either be bought up by it's competition or shareholders will force cuts in expenses like r&d and reorganise in order to get rid of a bunch of employees. When a game is new profit growth is provided by the growth of the playerbase. A constantly growing amount of customers that on average spend the same amount will provide the revenue growth needed each quarter. The problems start when eventually the same amount of old customers move on to something else as new customers enter the pool. The amount of customers stays the same quarter after quarter. This also means that revenue and profits stays the same. At that point the only way to increase profits is to increase the average amount customers spend. And even though you can increase spending a little by offering customers more for their money spent and add value, there is a limit to this as well. After this the only way to increase profit is by overcharging or putting previously free things behind a paywall. Great example is apple forcing customers to buy dongles and chargers for an extra fee to obtain functionallity that was previously included without an extra charge. This inevatibly will lead to people not willing to pay the extra fee or even move on to something else shrinking the customer base. Now the company is faced with the fact that it needs to increase profits from a smaller customer base then before leading to even more monetisation pressure. And that in turn will again trigger more customers to move on, leaving even fewer customers. But the company still needs to grow revenue further forcing it to extract even more money from the people that are still left. Eventually the company will do everything it can to extract more and more from fewer and fewer customers. It is a deathspiral that is basicly unavoidable and will have just one inevetable conclusion in the end. The destruction of a perfectly good product or company. All corperations go trough this cycle until there is only one or a couple left in a market that then are able to monopolise and exploit the consumer because there is nobody left that could even try to compete. And anyone that tries is either bought up directly or sued to the point where they run out of money. It is happening all around us every single day in every single industry and market. It is the nature of the beast and when left to do what they want this is always how things end up, without exception. History has made that very clear more then once.

This map (named Great Wall on console) was removed from console but WG never really gave any clear answer why, but most suspect it was due to file size limits for the console. They removed many maps at that time and not just this one. We just got it back last week and as far as I can see they haven't made any changes to it, so I don't think there were any issues with it. We don't have assault mode though and that's an interesting placement of the cap.

This isn't a skill based game. You may know all the weakspot on all tanks, you may have godly aiming skill, but this is not like FPS game where your skill DOES matter. No. If you can't pen that armor, you can't - unless you load gold ammo. Stats don't lie - strong stats IS strong stats. And that's where the game has been going on nowadays. I always remember WG said that premium tank will be weaker than it's counterpart (or at least on average) but hell most premium T8 are BETTER than the average! Despite all of that though, I don't particularly 'salty' on why WG buffed the premium tanks. Sure, there are OP premium tank in the game *ahem E25 ahem* but most of these tank drivers played their tank wrong. I've seen Scorpion G driver firing only HE. I've seen M41 90 going into HT flank. I've seen FV4202 driver didn't use his armor correctly, etc etc etc.This is probably why they ask WG to buff them - and WG oblige because they are the paying customers. On one hand, I don't care as even when buffed - if they drove their tank wrongly, I can still kill them with ease (and I do). On the other hand, as soon as skilled player like QB plays it, the tank would totally dominate the battle. i own premium vehicles tho... to add fairness in my comment. I do like to see some of them gets buffed (Alpine Tiger is a bovine excrement at this stage - although I like it's mobility) however the tank they decided to buff is actually the tank that's already good on it's own. I actually agree on them buffing KV-5 - that tank was pretty much garbage due to it's R2D2 weakspot on it's front. Also the gun was like wtf - back in the day it only has 167mm pen; the gun basically mounted on T-150 tier 6 or A-44 tier 7. However, I do see why people gets mad on WG. The problem actually starts with the MM Template 3-5-7. This destroys the 'advantage' of tier 8 premium tank when most of them in a match are placed in tier 9 or 10 games (for those who didn't have pref MM) so they appears weaker and needs buff. And when these buffed tier 8 gold tank gets into tier 8/7/6 matches, they are having huge advantages over lower tier. If only they would rework the matchmaker tho, I'm pretty sure people won't be mad like this...

I don't agree with your first statement - it is a skill based game, just a different type of skill than you were talking about and with a fair amount of luck mixed in as well. Skill in WoT is based on your situational awareness, ability to position your tank and analyze the tide of the battle, not how fast you can aim or click or how well you know the enemy tank.

It was/is called Great Wall on console. Spawns on it for console are b2 and k0 so the choke points don’t really matter as much because you spawn at the northern and southern choke points and battle over the middle. Saw it the other day but it doesn’t pop up too much

TBH, I won a Type 59 from the Christmas boxes of 2017 one year ago. But I bought a ton of boxes for up to eight clan members, plus loads more for my account and my wife's account. The type 59 was won on the wife's account, so it doesn't get played much.

I don't remember them pulling this map, I just played it maybe this week but only in a Tier 4 match. I've kinda noticed separate balancing, the OBJ 268-4 is not in the game along with some others, separate reward tanks as well. The Type 59 is a tier 9 that has tier 8 preferential MM at this point, I have one and this buff was dumb. We also get the Chieftain MK6 along with the FV215B and Super Conqueror, the last time I remember them replacing tanks was the FV4202, other than that not much else. The Waffle E-100 with the 6 round clip is still in the game.

I personally think the reason that they buff them to be more competitive but still preferential matchmaking is because once they have the appropriate statistics to show that they are equal to other tier 8 tanks they will remove preferential matchmaking when they change the Matchmaker next time

The map is called Great Wall on console, it's not too bad as long as your team don't all lemming the west side of the map. I personally like it in my scouts and mediums, once both teams meet in the middle flanking becomes very important. 😊

What makes you think that removing the preferential matchmaking is not the end goal. They got all kinds of push-back when they first tried that. So they now buff T-8 preferential premiums, then when the stats go wonky, they say "see told you" and THEN remove preferential matchmaking as a solution.

I think that most of the tanks needed buffs. Even the Type59 wasn't immune to the power creep since many guns now have more base pen then before, and way more premium pen. Saying that, in tree regular tanks also need buffs to compete, or on the flip side nerf some of the newer tanks that have more armor/better guns then the older tanks.

The T-34-3 still needs the armour and mobility buffs the Type 59 got but it can keep the derpy gun. But the T-34-2 actually needs a major, major buff for ALL its guns and its hull.

Personally the only buff I REALLY cared for on the Type 59 was the engine power. It was always frustrating how slow the tank was for a medium, but other than that, the other things didn't need to be changed.

This might be the first step in removing the PMM tanks, they buff it to a state higher than the tech tree version to soften the blow of removing the PMM from the tank and when offered a trade-in or gold option people won't take it and the tank will "Peacefully" transition out of PMM status.

AND, it has the AMMO. Somewhere previously they must have buffed this. The biggest hold back to this tank used to be the smallish ammo load out. Like @ 30-32 rounds. I remember many times running Type 59 3 man platoons and two people running out of ammo rofl!!!

As a long time player, I've fallen out with this game. I still love the idea, but things started going bad when the maps devolved into corridor fights. I miss the old days on Highway when you had 4-5 paths to advance through and no choke points that were immune to all but an attack from behind. Everything WG has done in the last 3 years has been a band-aid on poor map design and bad map reworks. I know it's supposed to be arcade style, but the maps push players down linear tanks choices. You either need good turret armor to hull down or good gun depression to hit extreme angles on your armor and then camp the choke points. Don't try to play anything else if you want to pad your stats. Removing the extra cover to nerf TDs killed light tanks. That increased the arty hate so they nerfed arty. That increased choke point camping by heavies and TDs. Mediums have trouble flanking. They are too slow without enough cover to successfully flank reliably. WG could fix this game in one patch if they expanded the maps from 1 square km to 2 square km and helped out slow vehicles to ensure they don't get left out of the fight.
