as someone who plays a lot of that tank (its my most played tank by about 1000 battles) it really isnt surprising to see him not fire gold. The gold rounds only give 25mm more in pen, and cost 8x as much. Usually if you cant pen a round with standard then apcr wont help either, best to just keep firing standard and rely on good aim.

I used to love this tank, was my first prem. However since the new MM and all the OP new prems coming out I just can't bare to take it out for a spin because I love to remember those times where I could farm damage without being penned even by tier 9's occasionally. I don't want those memories to go away. Saying that, even though I haven't played it in years, it's still (by a wide margin) my most played tank of all time.

The main problem is the lackluster penetration, in real life the pak 43 had 230mm penetration using the pzgr.39/43 at 100m 90°, and 305mm using the pzgr.40/43 at 100m 90° (US) 50% penetration requirement)

This is a game which is biased towards Soviet tanks and that won’t change. In real life ALL surviving tank crewman also abandoned there tank after the first penetrating shot.

I could see that making it a very viable TD. It needs to have a good punch with good pen, and still maintain a good rate of fire. Give it a potent gun with good handling characteristics, and this could be a fun TD again.

Also SU-101 used to have 990, and armour of a T-44, the HP pool added to Ferdi and T28 made them from hell to heaven. HP pool changes are significant.

Mostly Jagdtiger player on console with 2 marks using the Tier X gun, reporting. It is one of the best tanks if not the best tank I have in my game with a good crew. It is quick enough to get in close and move away but also quite sturdy to take in a lot of hits on the super structure if the mid and lower hull are protected. It is a beast of a tank and quick scoping in it seems to be possible significantly over half the time. The worst thing about it is the massive weak point in the front when battling against Tier X vehicles but it's also the best thing about it since it can reliably pen some Tier X vehicles as well. It is a support tank and not a vanguard tank as a primary unit.

Well this was a nice replay, not only cause of damage but in general. Skillful player going for weakspots instead of smashing 2 key is always nice to see (even tho that kv 4 finishing shot could've been aimed, even I would fire a prem round after a second bounce, especially after aiming for lower plate or side of turret). Overall a nice game he had and deserved those rewards

Hey QB, just wanted to point out that WG removed the hitbox on the MG mount on the front hull. You can look in tanks.gg and will see that it is no longer a weakspot.

Fun fact, the lower plate of the Jagdtiger 8.8 is not acutally that bad, it is 20mm thicker than the lower plate on the tier 9 Jagdtiger.

QB, why would a super heavy spall liner affect a tankers ability to carry a medkit? one is a consumable and the other is an equipment.

A spall liner reduces the chance for your crew to get injured. A super heavy offers 50% more protection. So it is less likely that your crew needs a med kit.

TDs are my favorite tanks to play and I really like the German ones, got one of these before the buff, it was trash, played it after the buff and sold it... Fixed gun TDs are tough to begin with, but with the highly underpowered German armor, lack of mobility, no turret, and no high alpha gun... Just don't see the case for this one...

I didn't get in the game wanting to play a specific tank. I just wanted a MMO that is different than all the fantasy games were then like Lineage or WoW. I chose a line based on the impressions i got at tier 2-3. I unlocked every low level tank and stick with the ones i liked the most. BT-2, BT-7, A-20 were nice, i also liked T-46. Then i wanted heavy tanks as i thought they are the bomb, mostly because at lover tiers you only play LT's and when you got in tier 3-4 and seen a tier 5 HT you would say i want that. Then i searched the web and many said that KV-1 is good. So my first two lines, as i farmed them at the same time going from one to another when dying, were IS-7 and T-62a.
