Specifically, for discipline priests, it increases the potency of your absorption effects For any class, it varies. Protection paladins, for example, gain block from mastery. Arcane mages do more damage proportionally to the amount of mana they have. You get it at 80, so I suggest you get to it. the game really takes off at max level. You just need two more levels then you get to go to Northrend.

I've been waiting for this one. I main a priest, currently working on heroic firelands. I'm all the way into mastery... screw haste. My role is being the damage mitigator for the tanks. We usually 2heal Ragnaros disc priest + resto druid. And stacking mastery really helps way more than haste. Haste is better for doing heroic dungeons with just you as healer though. But in raids, you want to be a mastery master I also don't play this spec, because it's inefficient in raids. int > spi > mastery!

@n00beta As a discipline priest you're in charge of damage absorbtion and mitigation, borrowed time increases your penance by quite a bit of speed. Not taking Borrowed Time is just silly and I can't imagine playing without it. Shield (35k absorb), fast Penance (30k healing) that's a 65k health sink (if nothing crits) in 2seconds... Not many classes can do that.

That depends on the situation: Long mana-craving fight=Inner Will, Shot but healing intensive fight(With big damage during small time-periods)=Inner Fire

Mastery Increases the potency of all your damage absorption spells by 20%. Each point of Mastery increases the potency of absorbs by an additional 2.5%. You will get access to mastery at lvl 80.

It depends on the ability. But, most healing spells can heal most friendly targets including yourself.

@n00beta Personally, I don't think haste is very important when not using attonement spec. Mainly because you get a haste buff from PW:S. A lot of other spells are just fillers or instant casts. I only cast flash heal when I don't have time to cast greater heal or when my instant spells and rapture are on cooldown. I consider my PW:S to be a big 40k instant heal which costs a lot of mana unless you wait for the 12 second rapture cooldown (which makes it GIVE more mana than it takes)

All of your Priest guides are completely weak ... You wouldn't pop PI to smite ... you would have your 5 evangelism stacks up and ready for big raid damage ... pop evangelism, pop PI then start PoH group rotating just before the raid damage is going to hit and through the raid damage. Your guides arent helping people you are miss-informing people
